I intially contacted the company for an inspection and cleaning because I new that my HVAC system was quite old. The technician let me know the condition of my system and provided me with quotes to replace. I liked how honest the technician was and how they laid out the different levels to upgrade to. I chose the middle level upgrade. I was happy with the technicians and the work they provided and my new system works like a dream. My heating bill in the winter was reduced by half thanks to installing the heat pump. The summer was much more bearable with the new ac as well.

They were excellent, fine, they fixed it right away and they only took 5 minutes. I would recommend the company to everybody.

Called ATC as they were also recommended by a friend that used them. Saturday morning call...8am. Prompt answering by friendly answering svc and detailed service call weekend rate provided as well as approx time they would arrive. Dwayne called when on the way and at 1030AM we had nice cool air!! WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!

They did excellent work on my A/C. I have always been very pleased with their work. I have used them about 4 times so far.

Our central AC compressor went out on a Saturday night. The circuit breaker tripped, so I hoped it was just a minor electrical problem. I tried resetting it, but it made a few sizzling and sparking noises and re-tripped. We have backup window units for just such occasions, so I knew we were okay in the Georgia summer heat.
On Sunday, I checked AngiesList for the best-reviewed HVAC companies and called ATC (Air Temperature Control). The receptionist was very helpful and explained she could send someone out right away, but it would be a little more for a weekend call, and supply houses are closed on Sunday. If it needed a part they didn't have on hand, the repair would have to wait until Monday anyway. I told her we were fine with the window units and could wait.
She called first thing Monday morning and set up an afternoon repair call. (They were busy -- understandable in July, and couldn't get out that morning, but still it was same-day service, so that's excellent.)
The technician arrived shortly after lunch, and diagnosed the problem promptly -- a short in the compressor motor windings, probably caused by a power surge. He asked if there had been any thunderstorms in the area. I didn't recall any, but I did recall there was a solar flare event on Saturday, which supposedly cause power surges sometimes. (That might not have been the cause, but it was interesting to think about.)
He said we'd definitely need a new compressor, and advised that such things are often covered by homeowner's insurance. He gave a ballpark price range. Since we have a high deductible on our homeowners, after thinking about it a bit, I elected to just continue on with window units for a while, and kick the can down the road. He told us the current system was a 1995 unit, and was reaching the end of the average service life. So I figured some time later we'll just upgrade the whole system. Or maybe stay with window units until we decide to sell the place, if ever.
The bottom line is the technician was nice, informative, worked efficiently, found the problem quickly, was up front with the costs, and when it was all said and done, only charged for the service call -- just under $60.

a/c failed on the first really hot day of the year. they sent a repairman that day, but the unit was not repairable. tech called the office at that point and ordered a replacement cooling system. it was installed within 2 days.

Additionally, they made numerous unscheduled home visits to complete secure the system. Their attitude was congenial and professional on all occasions. In fact, they went beyond what was promised and expected. They indeed gave value-added service. I'd recommend them to anyone. Bob Berlin

Air conditioner for home stopped working. I called first thing in the morning, and they fit me into their schedule same day (actually I became first visit since my house happened to be quite near the business). Technician was polite and professional, he quickly deduced a capacitor needed to be replaced and he added some freon.

My A/C stopped working. I called them in the morning and it was fixed by early afternoon.

When I called, they told me that they could definitely fit me in by the end of the day, but that it could be anytime. I had some errands to run. They were very good about keeping me posted and called to give me 20 minutes notice to get home and meet them. I was pleasantly surprised to see the truck pull up 15 minutes later.

The starter motor and the capacitor were shot. Instead of choosing for me, they gave me the option of saving about $50 by using after market replacement parts. After installing them, the technicians came inside and checked the gap at the bottom of my interior doors to see if they were big enough for adequate air movement. I'd asked them about this while they were working on the unit outside. No charge for this of course.

The necessary parts were on the truck, and the service call lasted about an hour in total.

Very professional, friendly and punctual. While the bill was not cheap, it was very reasonable.

the repairman came out immmediately when we called. he was very courteous and explained everything to us. also quoted a price that was reasonable and did not even charge a fee for coming.

We have used this company several times over the past two years. When we bought our house five years ago, we bought a home warranty. The original HVAC died, and the warranty company replaced it with the most bottom of the line cheap piece of junk available. In addition, the warranty company used an incompetent installer. After several months of fighting with the warranty company, we finally broke down and got a recommendation from a friend for ATC to fix the issues we were having. What a difference! They arrive on time and always when they say they will (once they were going to be late and called to let us know). They have an on-call technician who visited us after hours (though they do charge a higher rate for this service). The first time they visited, they corrected the previous technicians poor install and fixed a coolant leak. The next time, they replaced a broken fan motor. The time after that they replaced a bad capacitor (the original installer had put in the wrong one). When the unit broke a day after they had just resolved one issue, they only charged me parts to fix the new issue because they said they should have caught it the previous day. They tell me what is wrong each time and how they will correct it. At one point, I was very tempted to just buy a new HVAC from them. Instead they helped me evaluate cost vs. benefits of a new one vs. fixing the old one when it breaks instead of immediately trying to sell me a new unit. They clean up after themselves, give an itemized bill at the end so I know where the money went, and are very polite and professional. Their only drawback is that they are slightly more expensive than other quotes I received. But they are still competitively priced and you absolutely get what you pay for. I wish they did more than just HVAC, they are a wonderful company to work with.
