"Dear Mr. [Member Name Removed]: We are sincerely sorry you are not happy with our service. We were unaware of your displeasure until almost six months after completion when you notified us that the city cited you for the fence being out of compliance. As you know, despite the bold wording on the permit, we received written instructions from your wife: “Hubs says put as close as possible and only good side facing out on front. Rest of fence he wants good side in”. We built the fence as we were told. I am very sorry that you were cited. But, building the fence the way we were told does not make us con artists, liars or cowards. Todd Edlin, President"
"Allied Fence has satisfied tens of thousands of clients since 1953. Providing the industry’s highest level of integrity and customer service has been the key to our excellent reputation for 70 years. At Allied Fence, we own up to our mistakes. If our crew negligently damaged this irrigation pipe we would have quickly accepted responsibility. But what happened is quite different than reported. In August 2022, while manually digging a hole about two feet from a valve cover, (not using a power tool six inches away as alleged), our crew encountered an irrigation line. No water leaked from the pipe, so the crew felt certain that the pipe was not damaged. Nonetheless, work was halted and the client notified. A new location was chosen and the fence was completed soon after. Four months later, upon receiving a follow up request to pay the 120+ day old invoice, the customer claimed that the irrigation system had been harmed. He initially emailed that $1,850.00 damage had been done. He back-tracked on that, but still demanded that Allied Fence deduct $600 from the invoice. When told we were unaware of a leak, the client claimed that his irrigation did not leak in August because his system was turned off stating “We did not need irrigation then because we were away”. He then said that he sought “emergency” irrigation service two weeks later and paid a “premium price” for the repair that was completed a month after our crew was on site. Even though the Allied Fence contract says we are not responsible for damage to buried lines, I quickly offered to pay $175.00 towards the repair cost, which is a common cost to repair a damaged irrigation pipe. Ultimately, the client, short paid the invoice by $560.00. Exercising sound business ethics, Allied Fence addressed the client’s delayed concerns promptly, fairly and professionally. "Allied Fence truly appreciates that you took the time to write your thorough review. We are pleased with your decision to choose Allied Fence for your privacy fence topped with coyote rollers. Lastly, we thank you for representing the USA so well with your terrific accomplishments at the Olympic games in Rio and Tokyo. We are so proud to have you as a happy client."
"Thank you for letting us know of your good experience. We appreciate your decision to choose Allied Fence."
"Allied Fence is deeply sorry for the problem that we caused. Covid 19 caused so many people to stay home, that our call volume has more than doubled with so many people looking at home improvement projects. Combine this with our need to social distance and sanitize after every appointment. This has made our response rate worse than it should be. But that is no excuse for making a prospective client feel ignored. Again, we are very sorry. We are sending a gift card in the mail for you to use at Home Depot to show that we are sorry for the poor service."
"Thank you for choosing Allied Fence and also for taking the time to share your good experience with others."
"Allied Fence is saddened to hear the client feels that our project manager was not honest. Integrity is a core to our long-standing success. What he is referring to is that at the initial consultation, the client presented an Angie's List coupon for a 5% discount. The proposal was written up stating "Angie's List Discount 5% Applied". The client signed the proposal and the work was done. Upon receiving the invoice, the client demanded an additional 5% discount. In an effort to appease the client, Allied Fence allowed the additional discount."
"Allied Fence has two branches, one on the west side of Atlanta and one of the east side. From these, we service over 250 zip codes that are within about 25 miles or 45 minute travel time to each branch, serving a population base of over 4 million people and businesses. Outside of those areas, our 65+ years of experience has taught that we cannot be competitive or give terrific service in areas that are not so accessible. We regret that this poster is too far away for us to repair his fence, but we referred him to service providers that are close to his home and more apt to provide the service that he needs at a reasonable price."
"Thank you for taking the time to let us know of your good experience. We appreciate your decision to choose Allied Fence for your vinyl coated chain link fence."
"Allied Fence humbly apologizes for the mistake that caused our project manager to miss this appointment, not once but twice.. Due to a clerical error by a new employee, the zip code was written wrong, thus assigning the lead to a salesman who handles South Fulton County, Fayette County and Coweta County. Getting to Brookhaven is not easy from Griffin, causing the project manager to miss the appointment and make our company look incompetent. We deeply regret this mistake and the ill-will that it created."
"Thank you for choosing Allied Fence and taking the time to post your response."
"Thanks for your patience during the week of the scheduled installation. Atlanta received four consecutive days of every rain which brought our operations to a standstill. As soon as the rain stopped, we made your project our top priority. We are glad to have met your needs, despite the horrible weather that week."
"Thank you for giving Allied Fence an opportunity to work with you. And thanks for sharing your comments and the photos of the beautiful custom gates and fence."
"Thank you for choosing Allied Fence for your Peachtree City fence project."
"Thank you for your patience as we gladly corrected the poor workmanship. We hear too many stories of people who pay for their fence projects up front and are stuck with what they get, regardless of the quality. At Allied Fence, we don't ask for money until the work is done AND our clients are satisfied. We appreciate that you graded us on the final product and not the inferior work that was initially provided to you."
"Mr. [Member Name Removed]: Thanks for giving Allied Fence an A rating. However, we think that you have us confused with another provider as we have no record that we built your fence or that you made an inquiry about the gate. Please check to see if perhaps you have mistaken us for another company. If it was indeed Allied Fence that built your fence , please call us right away 770 944 1501."
"Thanks for choosing Allied Fence and for the kind words about Wayne and his crew."
"Thanks for taking the time to let us know of your good experience with Allied Fence."
"We appreciate your kind words and glad that you chose Allied Fence Co."
"Thanks for choosing Allied Fence and for taking the time to post your comment and grade."
"The facts that you describe should never happen in any professional business situation. Your comments have been shared with the nine members of our sales team and the representative that met with you has been reprimanded. We do want to point out that often we suggest that customers save money on their project by arranging for their own fence line clearing. In your case, the project manager must not have gotten this point across in the proper fashion."
"Allied Fence apologizes for the poor service that you received. The warm winter caught us off guard and we were not prepared for the fence season to start in late January. We regret the inconvenience that this caused and will strive to give better service going forward."
"There is no excuse for what occurred. Your experience is not indicative of the way that Allied Fence has conducted business for over 60 years. We truly regret that this happened."
