They did a fantastic job. They came on time. They were committed to doing the job that they said they were going to do. They grinded the stump. I liked them. They were professional. They had to remove a fence to come into my backyard and didn’t do too much damage to my property, they put it back and cleaned it up afterwards.

They were very professional and careful not to damage anything other than the tree that removed. They did a VERY thorough job of cleaning up all the debris. In and out quickly.

Perkins tree service was referred to me and did a flawless job on others properties, so i didnt hesitate to use them. My neighbor and I were going to get trees cut down in both of our yards at the same time. We have small fenced in back yards so it did make removing items difficult, although we took down sections of the fence to make it a whole lot easier. When I called to get a quote everything was fine. They actually came out and spoke with my neighbor about what it would cost. We told him we had another price, but he insisted that individual would leave my yard damaged and he wouldn't. We chose to pay 100 more to go with him since i had laid zoysia sod last year and didnt want it ruined. It all went wrong when we tried to schedule a date. We could not get ahold of anyone. I left messages several times on all three of his numbers and never got a return phone call. He ended up speaking with my neighbor and gave him an aprox time frame of 10days....that didnt happen. My neighbor finally got a date set in stone and the crewed showed up ready to work. With the small space the crew did a great job and work hard. Now, at this point the trees are being cut down in my back yard and I have not spoken to or seen  Charles Perkins since the day I requested a quote. As they are dropping the tree it is leaving some serious dents and holes in the sod. My neighbor overheard them saying they will probably need to get some pieces of sod to repair the yard. They actually dug a whole in my yard about 2 ft down and 2 ft wide to get the dirt to spread over the dents and fill the holes. Make sense? It didnt to me either. When I arrived I asked one of the workers if they were going to grab some pieces of sod to put down, and he said absolutely not. I wrote the check for Perkins son for an amount my neighbor told me, which was a huge mistake. Once I wrote the check it was over. I called Charles Perkins to see if he would keep his word about the yard and bring some sod to fix it. He was abrupt at first stating he will absolutely not bring anything, that I should be amazed that the damage does was all that they did. He said I couldn't of asked for a better job. Its hard to argue that fact, and im not asking them to do a better job with the trees. I am asking them to do a better job keeping their word. He ended with asking me if getting sod would make me happy....I said yes....end of conversation. So as of today, almost two weeks later, I had to run buy myself more sod and just fix it myself. I knew once we got off the phone that I would never see any sod from Perkins Tree Service. Now I just have to find some dirt to fill in a hole they dug.  My main problem is not with the crew...its with Charles Perkins himself. He is horrible on communication. Doesn't keep his word and will throw "friends" in the business under the table to get work. Sad thing is...it worked. The only times I spoke with him or saw him was When I requested a quote(my neighbor told me the cost) and when I called to complain after I had paid. He never came by a did a final walk through after he found out we gave his son the checks. I would not recommend him to anyone. This grade and review would be a whole lot better if he wasn't in charge of it all. We offered to dig up plants that my wife planted to make it easier for them. they said it wouldnt be a problem....so they ran over them with a bobcat. I could keep going but I will let you guys make the choice. If you ask me...run.

The Perkins crew was prompt and professional.  The workmen were thorough and careful.  All debris was removed and affected parts of the yard and driveway were blown and yard areas also raked after work was completed.  Charlie Perkins, the business' owner, was on site most of the time supervising the crew.  He made certain we were satisfied with the job before he and his crew departed.  We have used Perkins Tree Service several times over the last few years, and have not been disappointed.  Prices are usually reasonable and the quality of the work has left us very satisfied.

Fabulous from begining to end

Both jobs were done very well and was what I totally expected. Only small issue is that some of the smaller branches from this huge tree fell onto neighbors wooded backyard. Thank goodness neighbor is also awesome and does not care...I rated the quality as a B but I think it was really a A-. They might not have seen the extra branches since the whole area is heavily wooded. I actually did not see the extra stuff until the next day. Very nice people and would use them again in a heartbeat!!

We had to have a small dead dogwood and a very large magnolia tree cut down in our front yard because we were having a new drain field put in. I called to get an estimate and the owner, Charlie, set up an appointment that evening on his way home from work. I was very happy with the estimate and told him that I would call the next week to set up a time for the removal. When I called back the next Monday, we scheduled the work for Tuesday evening. The forecast called for strong wind and rain so Charlie said they would be out early Wednesday morning, if the rain moved in. I knew not to expect them when indeed it did rain on Tuesday evening. They arrived promptly Wednesday morning and immediately began the work. They were finished within a couple of hours. The team worked very efficiently together and was continuously monitored, I'm sure, for safety issues. The stump was ground down and the excess hauled off. The yard was leveled and raked well. They even agreed to cut out a few dead branches on a very tall tree in my back yard and cut out an unwanted shrub. I have used Perkins Tree Service two other times over the last six years. Both times that I have used them, I have been extremely satisfied with all aspects of the job and the cost. I highly recommend them.

He was good. He had a big crew and he did a good job. He knew what to do as the tree was leaning against another tree and he had to remove it without harming the other one. The price was a bit high. There was no responsiveness involved in that job.

They arrived and went right to work trimmimg branches overhanging the driveway, trimmed back trees overgrowing the front yard, trimmed back trees in the backyard, removed walkway pavers and animal statues that might be damaged as the poplar was being removed, then removed the poplar a piece at a time. The chipped limbs and hauled away the very large pieces. They picked up and chipped existing brush piles, put back the statues and pavers. They cleaned up better than when they arrived. Charles Perkins has always been easy to work with. I've used Perkins Tree Service many times over the past roughly twenty years. Watching his crew work so efficiently has great entertainment value.

These trees were difficult to cut down but they got to work and did the job. They came with the right equipment to down the trees. The price they charged was good. They did a great clean up.

Charlie and crew were professional and fun to watch. Except for the missing trees it was hard to tell they had been working in my yard.

I felt like we got our money's worth, as the other estimates were considerably higher (one company wanted to pretty much clean-sweep all the tress for over 2500!). The owner, Mr. Perkins, wasn't very nice, but he knew his job well. He was rushed, as he had other jobs to work on. He squeezed our "smaller" job into his larger ones. While his manner didn't sit well, he did do a good job, which is the only thing that really matters.

The crew completed the job in 2 hours & all the debris was removed efficiently. The contractor's performance was A+.

Perkins is an outstanding outfit. Mr. Perkins showed up on time for his quote, told me exactly when he'd bring a crew, had the crew there on time, did a terrific job with the work and cleaned up as if he'd never been there. He even cleaned up a few smaller overhanging branches over my driveway at no extra charge and even dropped off wood chips in my neighbor's driveway. I had previously had the same job quoted by another company for almost twice the price. I originally found him because of some work he had done for my father in Snellville. My father had a similar terrific experience with him. I think he made an exception to come to the Decatur area (where I live) because he had already worked for my family. Most of his work is in the Loganville/Snellville/Lawrenceville area, I believe. I highly recommend him to anyone.
