NIGHTMARE of your WORST DREAMS!!!! The subcontractor installing the countertops FLOODED MY HOUSE and I had NO KITCHEN for 8 MONTHS!!! ENTIRE KITCHEN had to be ripped out and the flooding was on TWO FLOORS of my house. A POLISHED FINISH was NOT COOPERATIVE and their insurance was even worse to deal with!!!!! FIled a formal complaint, finally, with the State of Georgia Insurance Commissioner's Office. $70,000 and 8 months later, I finally have my kitchen back. And I started over with countertops and installation from a REPUTABLE COMPANY. RUN..... RUN from this company!!!!!
Response from A Polished Finish
"[Member Name Removed], We sincerely apologize for the experience you had with our company, and completely understand your frustration, but we feel we did our best during this rare occurrence. This is why we require a signed contract from all of our clients because we aren’t responsible for any plumbing services. If the plumbing was disconnected properly, before we arrived, this wouldn’t have been an issue. Conveniently, we are licensed and insured so we were able to cover the cost of the damage even though we have a signed contract stating it isn’t our responsibility. Unfortunately, once the insurance company is involved the timeline is out of our control. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced the last 8 months, and we are very happy to hear you have your kitchen back in working condition. Sincerely, Apf. INC"

Most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. They were a complete nightmare to deal with from start to finish. Started on my first phone call. If my builder didn't require using them, they wouldn't have gotten an ounce of our business. Stay away from Heather. She's the most negative, awful customer facing person I've ever dealt with in my life. She's never once followed through on anything we've asked for, and complains through the whole process. We closed two months ago and we're still waiting on her to get her act together. Complaints to ownership and management have gone ignored. Next step is BBB. STAY AWAY! They just want your money and clearly could care less about their customers. Sad. Unacceptable. Disgusting.

This company is absolutely horrible to deal with. So bad in fact they deleted my complaint and review I put on face book about the horrible quality of install and communication with all pictures attached! To start where the issues began. It all became a issue the day the granite was installed. Up until that point everything seemed to be alright. The day of install the installers pretended to not speak English. They damaged our brand new $500.00 sink base cabinet with drilling holes, scratching it and bolting in a 2x4 to hold the sink up, when they should have used a anchor kit. When we presented the issue we were brushed off. On top of that the sink that was installed was also damaged. Not a single piece of granite was installed level and some are off level by over a half inch in a 6 foot span!! We have tried to resolve these issues since the day everything was installed with no luck from the company. Every email we sent trying to come to some sort of resolution lead to their sales associate Joel putting blame on us for their faulty install and horrible comunication. I am still awaiting a follow up on a resolution to our issues. We have all documented pictures, emails, and text messages. I will never use this company nor recommended anyone to them.

The cabinets turned out to be the RTA kind (ready to assembly) from China and were poorly assembled by one of their subcontractors. Base cabinets are shimmed at least half inch off floor by flimsy pieces of wood.. After I complained that the cabinets seemed to be uneven they did send another crew to try and even them up. Looking at the cabinets you can see a lot of split wood where they screwed in, the insides have staples sticking out of the corners and if your not careful you can scratch your fingers. I wish Angie's list would let you upload photos because you have to see the poor workmanship

I did speak to someone when I went in to pay my bill and was assured that the owner would call but since dealing with them and seeing some of their work first hand I knew that guy was blowing smoke.

I gave a D because the tile guys for backsplash were good.

Also, if anyone knows Trust Dale, tell him to read this!

Very helpful staff. We picked out our stone from their yard and got a very fair price. Our only slight caveat: the plumber they recommended was expensive.

I purchased 2 granite slabs that had been polished and edged. I called A Polish Finish for an estimate to install the granite. The owner Mark came in person to look at my kitchen, the granite that I had purchased, measure and give me an estimate. The actual work was done by his crew - he was not onsite for the installation. The work was loud and messy. Some of the actual cutting of the stone was done in my kitchen and some was done outside in the driveway. It was immediately apparent that a mistake was made while cutting the granite and this company had cracked my granite countertops. I immediately called and was told that they would 'fix' it. Fixing it involved placing 'shims' to stabilize the granite. The owner never offered that he would replace the damaged granite. The owner never came to my home to take a look at what had been done. The problem has continued to get worse. I recently (a few weeks ago) called Mark to tell him that the cracked granite is now chipping. He told me he would call me back that day with a date and time when they would come by and take a look at it to 'fix' it. That day came and went and I called Mark the next day. Mark gave me another story about how he had been busy and was taking a look at his schedule to see when they would have a job in my area so as not inconvenience his crew. Mind you, when I was paying him over $1000.00 to install the granite my location was not an issue. I called a week later and was given the same story. I have NO hope that this provider will A)Replace the granite that was damaged B)EVER call me back with an actual date when he himself the owner of the company will come and see what can be done to rectify the situation.

First and foremost they were very patient with my indecisiveness regarding colors, styles, etc. (white subway tile, light color granite, glass tiles, dark granite) tough to decide. They gave us samples, we went to their facility to actually look at the various slabs, and were completely open and helpful throughout the decision making process. They were willing to work with our schedules and were very flexible. Their knowledge of the process was very reassuring also. They had to demo our old backsplash (removing drywall too). They cleaned up as they worked and left our kitchen in excellent condition when they were finished. We highly recommend A Polished Finish to others seeking an update or remodel. They also installed a new granite counter top in our bathroom.

APF installed granite countertops in our kitchen. They were unique in several ways: |1) They worked with us to find the perfect color/stone for our kitchen at the right price |2) They worked very quickly and were able to turnaround the project extremely quickly for us - when other vendors just told us no or took too long to get back to us. |3) They offered financing |4) They were incredibly prompt, professional, and kind. | |We've dealt with some terrible granite companies in the past. These guys were great and we'd definitely use them again.

From the onset the staff was courteous and friendly. There was no "hard sell." The contractors were punctual, got the job done quickly and cleaned up. Counters are beautiful. Exceeded expectations.

They are very professional, and Mark, the Mgr./Owner, will always work with you and your budget! But bare in mind, that this is granite we're talking about, so the more exotic or rare color/style you choose, the more expensive it's going to be! However, all that being said, he will even, literally, throw in the kitchen sink for free, if necessary! I have used them on over 6 projects now for both kitchen and bath counters, and I have never seen anyone else be able to match their prices, in conjunction with the quality of installation! On one of these projects I had a different granite color for the 5ft. island, and I was not able to be there for the install. When I showed up, I saw that it had water stains in the slab. They came back (from Loganville to Athens, mind you!) and tried to polish it out--to no avail. So they came back a 3rd time, and replaced it with a different slab--all at there own cost! Talk about customer service! A bit of advice, when picking out granite, you DEFINITELY need to go to their warehouse and pick out the slab you want, IN PERSON! Colors will look completely different than on the website, and you don't want to be disappointed! Not to mention ea. slab will also be a little different from ea. other. The will have no problem with pulling out ea. individual slab for you to look over, if necessary. AND, if they don't have quite what you want in stock, they can send you over to one of their two other Mills (correct word?), where they have hundreds of more color and style selections to choose from! The ONLY reason I gave them a and quot;Cand quot; under Responsiveness and and quot;Band quot; under Punctuality is related to the same reason. If you do not actually get a live person when you call, and leave a message on their machine, they are very bad about returning those calls. I think they got a full-time receptionist in the office, within the last year, that actually checks the voicemails; but just know that you may have to call back. Definitely worth it though!

A Polished Finish has extremely professional employees from start to finish. And all were very pleasant and upbeat! I had some estimates done by two big box hardware stores and was extremely pleased and surprised by A Polished Finish's very reasonable price quoted to me after the template was done! They told me since they don't have a middleman like the big box stores (Home Depot and Lowes) they can charge better prices. A Polished Finish stuck to their estimate, too. The quote they gave me was the price I paid.
The granite is gorgeous. The under mount sink, which I would not have been able to afford at big box prices, is beautiful too. The installers knew what they were doing and even took the time to explain what they had done with the plumbing, (because a plumber has to follow up after the granite is installed - common practice - I would have had to have a plumber in with the big box stores too.)
Great group of people at A Polished Finished. And I felt good to buy from a locally owned company!!

They are granite countertop installers. They did beautiful work. They were on time, very clean and the work they did was just beautiful. I had some other people come in to do electrical work and plumbing and the first thing they said asked was and quot; where is the seamand quot;. These other vendors were impressed with the and quot; A polished Finishedand quot; technique.
We are very pleased with our new granite countertops.

Overall, they were good. The price was reasonable. The only problem I had was that there were finishing touches that had to be taken care of, and I had to jump on them in order for them to do it without getting charged.

Tim came out and took measurements and constructed a template to assist with cutting the granite just right. On the day of the install, Raffi and Walter arrived on time and got right to work removing the old countertops and sink. One backsplash tile came loose during the tear out but it was replaced without an issue. They next double checked measurements before bringing in the new granite pieces. Everything went together just fine. Work was completed in under 3 hours. We couldn't be happier with our new countertops and sink!

Installed 41 square feet of Granite kitchen counter top(style New Caldonia) with new double sink. This price also included a 15 year sealer for the surface. The installation was quick, professional and looks great. Much cheaper than I have found in my Augusta Area. Would call these people again in an instant. Just be aware they are a small family business and they insisted on 80% payment up front. Had I not read such a good review on Angie's list from a previous customer I would have been reluctant to paybefore the work was done. All in all We are very satisfied with the job.

The overall experience was great. The pricing was unbelievable and the quality unmatched. Everything went very quickly. From start to finish, the entire process took under 2 weeks (that includes initial call, template and installation). They were a bit late coming for the installation, but had the entire job done in about 2 and a half hours, which fit our schedule to a tee. So, in the end, the tardiness was no big deal at all because they got it done in plenty of time, and we are BEYOND satisfied with the work and the product.

We went to a lot of places before I found the right piece. The owners of this place were wonderful and handled everything professionally. The installers did not make a template and should have because they had to come back to straighten out the counter. They cleaned the counter top with acetone when they were finished and some splashed on the new polymer sink, damaging the finish. I was able to get a product from the sink manufacturer that buffed out the problem area. The owners of Polished Finish adjusted the price down for the inconvenience.

WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE GRANITE COUNTERTOP. WE WERE ABLE TO CHOOSE A REMNANT PIECE OF GRANITE DUE TO THE SMALL SIZE. THIS ENABLED USE TO KEEP THE COST DOWN. THE COMPANY WAS ALSO WILLING TO ALLOW US TO PICK IT UP AND DO THE INSTALLATION OURSELVES, FURTHER SAVING MONEY. QUALITY OF WORK AND GRANITE ARE BOTH VERY GOOD.
