$400
They replaced a capacitor and charged an additional $75 service fee and $150 to clean the coil. I typically pay $150-$200 to replace a capacitor, which includes the service fee. I have been in property management for 20 years and am familiar with average costs of common repairs. A capacitor is common and I have replaced quite a few in this period of time. To make matters worse, they did maintenance on the unit a few months prior. At the time I asked for them to thoroughly inspect the unit, because it was a rental property and I did not want the new tenants having issues. When they inspected it and serviced it then, they cleaned the coils without giving me a price. They just added it on to the bill. I was upset then, because they did not suggest this additional expense, much less quote it. Now, a few months later, they go on and repair call and just add a fee to clean the coil on the bill. Again, this was just added with out consult. Most people clean their coils every few years, if at all. If someone is really vigilant, they will do it once a year. I do not know if they actually cleaned my coils the first time. However, when I questioned this, they did send me a picture of what appeared to be a toilet brush with some dust on top of it. I don’t know if it was dirt from the coil or not or if it was even from my coil. All I know is cleaning coils twice in a year and not mentioning the price either time is excessive and abusive.

Slow and unresponsive. Technical showed up a day late and it took calling the office for a week to get the report. Never again!

"Hey [Member Name Removed]. Thank you for the review. I apologize for the miscommunication. Who was the service technician and what day was the service performed? Also who did you speak with in the office? I will see what the issue was."

My 35 year old furnace died on the coldest day in December which was a Sunday. I called Chris Starnes and he was at my house within an hour. Although the furnace couldn't be repaired, he came out Monday morning and replaced it. He did a great job at a fair price.

Everything is great! We have been using him for several years. He always responds promptly. A couple of years ago we had to replace another unit. His pricing was very good. The installation was done on a timely basis. The work was very professional. The area was left very clean. We have recommended him to friends and they have all been pleased with his work.

Mr. Starnes is very nice and professional. He arrived at the set time and told me what was wrong before he done the work.

I would call him again if I have any more problems with my HVA

This very professional young man knows his business.  He is punctual, polite and provides a wonderful price.  I found him on craigslist and am so glad I did!  I could not afford to repair my 1978 furnace for $600 to fix a gas valve and relay switch.  I found a used furnace on craigslist that Chris was selling and now I have a high efficiency furnace!
