Atlanta Builders & Remodeling Inc

We engaged Atlanta Builders for a small backsplash project in our kitchen and laundry room with the hope that if all went well we would hire them to remodel our master and upstairs bathrooms. We initially gave them a down payment of $2,750, half of the project cost upfront. Unfortunately, Atlanta Builders did not cost out the materials properly with the Tile Supplier and the new project price went up to $6,250 after we removed a mosaic inset from the backsplash and continued with only the subway tile. The $6,250 represented $1,350 in tile/caulk materials and $4900 in labor and overhead - a project cost over our budget, but we wanted to get the project done -- it had been 6 months. On delivery of the materials, we discovered the subway edging was not included in the materials and labor. We expected the project cost to now increase to between $7,200 to $8,000 for a simple backsplash job. Obviously, we had to cancel the project. We made an offer to Atlanta Builders for them to retain $1,750 of our initial down payment for their time and the cost of the materials in receipt. However, Atlanta Builders kept the $2,750, now defined as a contractual 'deposit.' We're out $2,750, but consider ourselves lucky having not signed a contract with Atlanta Builders for the master and upstairs bathroom project.

We took estimates from 3 different companies including Atlanta Builders. Atlanta Builders was the only company that looked up under our existing deck to see what it needed prior to providing the estimate. Although their bid was not the least expensive I believe we got what we paid for in this instance. They did n excellent job!

I can't say enough good about Atlanta Builders. They coordinated everything so well, and kept me informed. Workers showed up when promised, The owner, or his son, came by every day that there were workers here to check that things were going as planned & if I had any concerns or questions. The steps flowed smoothly, so there wasn't a long delay in getting my kitchen back up and functioning. Their invoices were very line-by-line detailed and easy to follow. Payment was divided up into 3, due as the project progressed. I will definitely call them when I'm ready to rebuild my back deck!

We hit a home run when we found Scott and Atlanta Builders. We were very nervous about spending that kind of money with all of the horror stories about contractors out there. We first signed a contract that protected us as well as him. We thought he would take our down payment then only see a bunch of strangers in our home but that was not the case. Scott called often to keep us in the loop, introduced us to everyone involved, kept  the job clean from day one and really just did an overall 1st rate job.
  Scott directed us on how to get what we wanted on our budget. He suggested different options with fixtures and trims. We had no idea what a project like this cost so, we made a list a mile long of wants and needs and in the end we have a finished product that blows us away and in what seemed like no time at all on budget!!
   E.R. Roberts Cooling and Heating also did a bang up job getting the air dry and clean. In fact all of the different trades were all super clean, skilled and trustworthy guys. I guess there is a great advantage to using a builder that has been around as long as Atlanta builders.
