Finished product was good. Some pricing surprises, we did not have a written agreement which I always suggest. Would have one next time.

After an initial mishap, the project progressed along at a reasonable pace and the end result was better than I expected.

I purchased a big deal for $1499. After Eddie Williams came to look at the job it took 11 days to get an estimate from him for the additional work, and I had to remind him that he was to have provided a more detailed estimate so I could determine whether the additional work would be done. The deal made no mention of shower size restriction or that it needed to fit a "standard" shower pad (I didn't know mine wouldn't). By the time all this was known with prices it was outside the 30 refund period for Angie's List and they would make no concession.
I had to put off the job until close to the end of the deal period because a friend needed to temporarily move into my spare bedroom and bath and I couldn't give up the master bath. When time came to get down to business communication with Eddie was difficult. He would give me a date and time to be here and not show up, texting a couple of hours later or not at all until I contacted him. It took several days to finally start. Once he did a more important customer had problems that he had to take care of in the mornings before coming here, so he was only here half days to do the demolition. Then came time for the tile -- a subcontractor who made a terrible mess traipsing in and out of the house to cut tile and mix grout and didn't clean it up.
The actual installation of the tile looks great, however, as Eddie explained to me the walls aren't perfectly square. Instead of adjusting the tile cuts to the wall the contractor lined up the outer edge to the widest part of the wall and left the upper tiles sticking out. Eddie then tried to make it look better with a piece of floor moulding which fits perfectly at the top, but of course doesn't match at the bottom. The pebble tile I purchased for the floor of the shower had some stones that were too high and sharp. The tile layer said he would remove those and replace with shorter ones, putting the tall ones to the edge. there are still uncomfortable tiles where one must stand. That can't be fixed now without removing the whole shower floor. Before tile installation the shower floor was not properly sloped. Both back corners of the shower allow water to pool. When I finish a shower I have to push the water with my foot toward the drain. Finally, the grout was not sealed.
I have not requested any of this to be corrected because it would required demolishing the shower again and the purchase of new tile. Other than the uneven edge the bathroom LOOKS great. Oh, the tile contractor also installed a piece of Schluter strip at the door edge of the floor tile/carpet doorway. That would have been OK if the strip had been the same width as the tile, but it is taller. Hurts like blazes when I step on it with my bare feet!

He's fabulous. We paid him extra because when he took off the pan under the shower, the wood was rotten so he had more actual work to do. It took him the better part of two weeks to complete the whole project.

Tile sub-contractor was very punctual but owner was not. I bought an Angie's List deal that was supposed to include all labor and materials. We had to buy the tile and grout ourselves and then got an allowance if the tile was over 77 square feet. The contractor did not seal the grout, caulk the tile to the tub, or provide materials for that work. I had to purchase materials and perform the sealing and grouting myself. As agreed upon and at an additional cost above the Angie's List deal, the contractor replaced the tub and shower fixtures. He provided all materials (other than fixtures) to redo the plumbing. Overall, I'm pleased with the look and can't wait to use it once I finish the job.

I bought the tile special offered on Angie's list, but that progressed into an entire bathroom remodel. that had been my hope; he didn't do any aggressive up selling or bargaining. I asked him if he could do other work and he said that he could. he worked with me to remove the fiberglass shower / tub combo thing, prep the wall, install a new tub and fixtures and then tile the wall around the tub. he replaced rotten sub floor, installed new toilet, sink and cabinet and tiled the floor. he found mold in the wall and cut that out and patched the wall, as well.
I bought the materials and Eddie did all the work. he is really responsive and easy to get in touch with. I found him to be honest, trustworthy and very thoughtful, offering advice and helping on other projects I was working on just because he was there.

Mr Williams was very responsive, and worked continuously until the job was done. We were very impressed with how quickly some parts of the work moved, and his general advice on how to get stuff done was great. He used a tile guy that was exceptional. Was able to give advice on tile type (cost v. quality), grout width and color, detailing, and color matching. The job ended up being more complex due to some underlying water damage. Mr Williams explained the situation and offered the most economical way to repair the problems and keep moving forward.
As the effort continued, we added items to the work order, which he happily accepted (but for which we didn't require a new or modified estimate, etc.) All were small items, but that ended up being a mistake. Through no fault of his, we'd added enough little items that the build was inefficient. Overall we added 2 or 3 days to the process that otherwise would have been fast and efficient. An example was the installation of some new electric appliances and light fixtures. Generally not a problem, but rough openings needed to be changed, and some minor wiring needed to be installed. One of the things we really like about Mr Williams is that he doesn't hesitate to call in the expert (his own) when needed. When a question arose about the wiring for an appliance or the circuit for the light, rather than do it him self, he called his electrician. No extra charge, but a 3 hour delay. This sort of thing piled up and resulted in the need to work over a weekend to get the work done on time.
Throughout the process, Mr Williams was always reachable by phone or text. (Very important for reassuring nervous homeowners.) He was always reluctant to charge us for the many little honey-dos we tacked on, so we ended up having to estimate how much extra we needed to pay for those items and simply included it in our last payment (he was magnanimous and gracious, but didn't need to be: he earned it!) He always kept receipts for materials that were not included in his pricing, and was flexible in how we made progress payments. Last payment not due until work complete and owner satisfied.
Very positive experience.

My experience to them was very good! Everything went well, I already had the tile, they came by and gave me an estimate, they tell me when they will going to come back and how long it will take. They are true trustworthy, they did everything perfectly and I'm very pleased. The reason I chose them it's because they were close to my house and that they will get the job done at the time span that I needed. They also cleaned up after themselves.
