About us

I started out in 1969 I owned a business called custom services company as partnership and we performed as well as carpet cleaning as well as maid service and heavy duty cleaning and we did very well at that.when the year 1972 came was the year I launched Atlanta rug scrubber and my goal was to have a vision where 3 companies feed each other. my business soon grew to where on every single day have 6-10 trucks running and 2 heavy duty cleaning trucks and 4 maid services vehicles we ran that stile of business up until the late 90's and our customers were very happy with our work with the union of company's that I have built in one, carpet cleaning as part of the 4 circle I sold off the heavy duty cleaning business and maid services and keep carpet cleaning business A Atlanta rug scrubber.

The gentlemen know his business and how to clean the grout with his equipment. My wife cleans our floor with a vinegar and water solution. This presented a problem because  the chemicals that the individual used caused a chemical reaction with the vinegar residue. It foamed up and it did not show up until the gentleman had left and the floors were completely dried. My wife and I were horrified when we returned home and saw the floors.
We contacted the provider and at first he did not want to know about the problem. He contacted the chemical supplier and at this point everyone realized that their could be a potential problem with using vinegar to clean our floors and chemical reaction with his cleaners.
He returned and saw how the floors dried cleaned everything again with a different solution and the floors were perfect.
In looking back it appeared that the supplier of the chemicals were not aware that vinegar could react with it. The service provider had never seen the type of reaction.
I would use this provider again and he stated he needed ask the home owners if they were using vinegar to clean their floors.

I needed to reschedule, but he was inflexible and came anyway. He waited until the night before to say he had not received the pics sent the week before. He left a of the tile soap dishes full of smelly liquid.

He offered add-ons and communicated a cost as inclusive of all rooms covered on the coupon.  Then he charged me the additional fee for each of the rooms x the quoted amount.

He left carpet soaking wet.  It took two days for it to dry out.

It had a little surprise to it. There was an additional charge, that’s the part that I didn't like. He charged an additional $20 to move from one location in the house to another. I had two bathrooms. Instead of doing both, he charged an additional $20 to move the machine, which was not disclosed on the deal. I didn't care for that. It was the first time and last time using them. I was satisfied with the work. It wasn't really much. He just had a little machine and put it on to the tiles to wash them down. I couldn't really see a difference in the tiles, they were fairly alright before. It wasn't difficult to schedule with them. He did what he said he would do. That was satisfactory and I got what I paid for. The pricing was OK. I just didn't think he was particularly professional.

They did not clean the carpets well (left stains, etc), and they did not Scotchguard the carpets, which I paid extra for.

Told me a specific date and never came. Had to make another date to come.

Machine broke while cleaning the carpet.

Overall he did a good job, but the price kept going up as the more he wanted to do. I've not experienced this before from others I've heard her their carpets cleaned.

I purchased a Big Deal offer for "$89 for Tile & Grout or Marble/Granite Cleaning and Sealing!" and was able to schedule an appointment just fine. Mr. Jones asked for photos (neat idea!) before arriving and I sent him several. I never heard back from him about the photos and when he arrived he seemed surprised by some of what we'd talked about and I'd photographed. He told me the tile I had did not need resealing (part of the Big Deal) and that to do the tiled shower stall he would need an additional $25 for verticle surfaces. The shower stall was all I wanted done and I'd talked to him about that when making the appointment. The tile in the rest of the bathroom was in good shape and all together it measured less than the 300sq ft listed in the deal anyway. But I wanted the shower done so I agreed to the additional cost and he got started. Once finished, he told me he'd done all he could do for the shower, that he couldn't clean it any more, that it would break apart. All of the tile looked about the same as before, which I verified later with the photos I'd sent him earlier. So basically, he cleaned already pretty clean tile and said dirty grout would fall apart if he tried to clean it. I'm having another company come out to properly clean the grout in the shower.

Worker said that there was very little he could do with the mold I had in shower. So there wasn’t much difference in the end. I was still charged full price for the service.

Failed to return several calls to schedule a cleaning date once we paid the price on the website. Forgot to show up at the time agreed upon. We had to call him and found that he forgot about the appointment. Did not show any interest in doing an professional job and added an additional $30 on to the special price when he arrived saying the grout was to dirty to clean unless we paid for a higher priced cleaner.

I was not impressed with the process used to clean the tile and grout.  There was a lot of dirty water and white powdery soap film on the floor after he was finished.  It was a hassle to have to mop up all of the excess water and re-clean the tile myself.  This cleaning was not what I expected, and I would not recommend this in the future.

Jeff did a great job cleaning our bathroom tile and grout. In particular, the grout had become quite dirty. I had tried to clean it myself and was unsuccessful. Within a half hour, he was done and it looked great.  On the flip side, there was some phone tag that occurred trying to schedule an appointment. In addition, he groups his jobs by areas. I realize it makes sense to do this from a cost and environmental perspective, but it does requires flexibility on the customer's side when making appointments.  A few times, he call my wife to ask if he could come that day. He was also a bit annoying pushing other services, but it wasn't bad enough that I wouldn't hire him again, at least for a tough cleaning job.

Jeff was very responsive to my call to schedule an appointment and arrived promptly.  After seeing my ceramic tile floor he made a recommendation to upgrade the chemical and process to ensure the best cleaning.  The upgrade was an additional $30 and the treatment was excellent.  My floor looked new, I did recognize the original color as I am not the original home owner.  He also did a good job on the carpet.

"Jeff" who professed to be the owner of the company arrived over four and a half hours late  (1:30 pm for a 9:00 am appointment).  When I called him several he did not return my calls.
When he  unexpectedly arrived at 1:30 pm he was apologetic for his larte arrival.  His appearance was disheveled and his truck was dirty and beat up. This caused initial concern because of his general unprofessional appearance and demeanor but I disregarded that because I trusted Angies List and the company was recommended through Angies List coupon program.  So I rationalized that he was having a hard day and I shouldnt judge him based upon his tardiness, appearance and the condition of his truck.
Later that proved to be a big costly mistake.
He did remove one stain in the master bedroom carpet.
Then he pointed out that the carpet edging along the floor boards were dirty and he had the tools and process to clean that difficult to reach area.  For an additional price I agreed he should clean that area.  The process utilized a special nozzle that forced a large volume of leaning solution between the floor board and the carpet edging.  I remarked about the large volume of fluid and he assured me that this was a process he had done many times with excellent results.
After the process was complete it looked very effective.  All the carpet edging appeared clean.
At this point the carpenter, who was working on the terrace level of the home, called me over and asked me to go outside with him.  He pointed out that Jeff's truck was leaking oil onto the concrete driveway.  I immediately got Jeff to move his truck onto the street and provided him with cardboard to catch the oil.  Then the carpenter and i threw cat litter on to the pool of oil to prevent staining the concrete.
Next we moved to the two staircases with the custom natural plant fiber and an all wool border runner.
I explained to Jeff that the carpet designer recommended that the rummer must be dry cleaned.  Jeff again assured me  he knew how to effectively clean the runners.  But they would appear "wet" and he would leave a solution for me to apply after the runners dried.
Next he pointed out that the grout in the master bed room needed cleaning. He said the process was very effective but  loose grout would be dislodged but the grout in general would not be harmed.  I agreed.
He was finished with everything by 4:30 pm.
The next morning I discovered the damage.  The floorboards were made of MDF which expands when in contact with water.  All the floorboards were damaged in the bedroom and even in the adjacent master bath were the fluid  was forced under the wall.
My carpenter was on the premises and he looked at the damaged areas.  He said any experienced carpet cleaner would recognize this as MDF because of its smooth grainless appearance which is preferred by most builders and commonly used.
My carpenter, Louis,  then pointed out the extensive damage to the grout in the floor and in the shower.  He said it appeared the grout was stripped with tremendous force.  I explained to him that Jeff had cautioned that loose grout would be removed.  However, Louis said that this grout was stripped and had nothing to do with loose grout.
I called Jeff with my concerns.  He said that the floorboard problem occurs once in a hundred times and he would take care of it.  But he requested to talk with my carpenter to determine the extend of the damage and requested photos which I emailed to Jeff.  Louis, my carpenter did me the favor of calling Jeff.  After a couple of days when I didn't hear from Jeff I called him.  He said he "may" have suffered a heart attack and would get back to me later.  I never heard from him again and I determined it was a waste of time and money to pursue any remedies.
Two weeks later, the runners split apart at the seams of the wool boarder connecting the natural plant fiber.   The cost to replace the runners was $3500.  The floor boards was $600.  The grout repair $850.  Professional oil stain removal from driveway $95.00
This was such a negative experience I didn't want to waste any more time and energy thinking about it so I avoided writing this review until now.

Jeff arrived on time, was very friendly and explained what he would do.  He used a heavy duty cleaning product which he mopped on and did a light pressure wash in my shower.  It smelled nice when done.
I was charged an extra fee to come out to my area, which was approx. 40mins. from his area.  Wasn't mentioned in Angie's List ad.

It was not a very good experience. They did a good job, but they were kind of rude. They tried to sell me stuff. They did a good job on two of the carpets, but not on the third one. I asked them to do it one more time to solve the problem, because it was not done properly. They said that they were going to charge me for that. They also kept on rescheduling.

He cleaned the rugs beautifully but this guy was totally unprofessional. He called me on the phone on the way here and I asked him if he had gps but he said he didn't know how to use it so I had to guide him the whole way here. He ruined a scarf, it got caught in his hose, and he never apologized for that. He was a real character. The rugs were great but I didn't appreciate his actions. The rugs were beautifully done but I was taken back. He wanted to do the oriental rugs but I couldn't afford him.

Jeff arrived as promised, and used a light pressure wash to clean the tiles and grout.  He cleaned up when he was finished.
