Stay away from this company. They came out to service our unit and misdiagnosed the problem. They said I needed a new part and the next day they called saying they no longer made that part. They wanted to send a salesman out to sell us a new unit. They lied in-fact they never even got the part numbers. They also disconnected a wire and then hooked it up wrong this would keep my heater turned off for a week and a half before another company found the problem. The problem ended up being a $3.00 part that ended up costing me $750 because I made the mistake of calling Ronald Smith. Their company was never able to diagnose the real problem. I even let them come back before I found out the real problem. The 2nd guy from Ronald Smith that came out spent 3 1-2 hours on my unit. He had to watch YouTube video after video because he did not know how my unit worked. Then he also misdiagnosed the problem. So for a $3.00 part I ended up having to take off 5 days, no heat for a week and a half during January and spent over $750 to get this fixed. They were so **** bent on selling us a new unit that they screwed us over. I feel like this was not the first time they have done this to a customer. I recorded all of this on video and photos and you can see where their first service guy screwed up and hooked our heater back up wrong. I will never call them again they are not trustworthy.
Response from Ronald Smith Heating & Air
"Mr. Hakmati, We are very sorry that you feel our company tried to mislead you, that is never our intention. We did offer to give you a quote due to the age of your unit, which some customers prefer rather than spending money on parts that can be costly or in your case can not be ordered. From our understanding the $750 is from parts you ordered on Amazon trying to repair the unit yourself in between our technicians coming out to your home, we did not charge you for parts. Again, it is never our goal to leave anyone unsatisfied with our company & services and we will be glad to speak to you about your situation at any time."

Great! The technician was very informative. He took the time to explanation what he was doing and what may be needed in the future. He provided quotes for potential future work without the added pressure of do it now or regret it later and pay even more money.

Ronald Smith Heating and Air deserves an A+ rating for the work performed on April 28, 2017 at my house, which is 52 years old, and has never had a central air system before. If there was a rating better than A+ I would give it to them They were very punctual, professional and conscientious. I could not have asked for a better group of people to perform the job. Field Supervisor Allen and his crew showed up on time and worked continuously until the job was completed which took approximately 8 hours. I had a "top of the line" Carrier Infinity system installed which I could not be happier with. This system has variable speed components and sensors that only require the amount of energy necessary to provide the level of comfort you desire in your home. Once the system has reached the temperature and humidity level you set on your thermostat it runs at a very low speed when needed to maintain that setting. Even though this system costs a little more than typical A/C systems I am confident that the difference in cost will more than pay for itself in energy savings over the life of the system which will also be longer since it doesn't have to work as hard as other systems. Additionally, at 10 - 15 feet away the outside condenser / compressor component is so quiet you can not even hear it nor can you hear the inside fan unit when it is running. I highly recommend this company and this system to anyone.

They didn't arrive on time. When they did arrive, they just sat outside. I had to go to them, because I had an appointment. I said are you going to service me, or what, because I have an another appointment. It was great, I used them before, and this was the first time that they had new techs. I don't know what they were doing. You know, it was after the Super Bowl, and still trying to celebrate. I don't know. When I checked around, that is what they are paying in the ballpark of $59 to $79, for tune ups. I don't think so.

My house wasn't cooling properly. Another local company came and gave me an estimate for $3000 telling me I'd need new duct work, new thermostats, and some other crazy solutions. RSmith came out, they could tell my unit was over working. He asked me a couple questions checked the charge and said it was over charged. I had to pay to get rid of the Freon, I think is what it was but other than that....he said I would see and immediate difference. He was correct and they did that off of a $79 tune up offer! Best service I received in a long time.

Several things impressed me about Ronald Smith H&A: 1. The person who answered the phone at Ronald Smith H&A asked how long it had been since the filter had been changed. They were not going to send out a technician – and charge a service fee – just to tell me I needed a new filter. 2. When other companies were booking as much as 3 weeks out, Ronald Smith H&A sent someone out the very next day. 3. Another company I called said they would charge $89 just to show up and diagnose the problem, and that the $89 would NOT apply to any work that was deemed necessary. Ronald Smith H&A charged only $79 to show up – and the $79 WAS applied to the charges for the repair work. 4. The Ronald Smith H&A technician did NOT try to sell a replacement A/C unit. He simply fixed the problem.

The service tech was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. He pinpointed the problem very quickly and the truck was stocked so that the replacement part was available for immediate installation and cleaned the entire unit to provide more efficiency. Thanks to Ronald Smith Heating & Air, my house was cool within an hour. This was invaluable to me during the Georgia 90 degree heat! I would recommend this company.

The installer was very knowledgable and kind. He came out and inspected our old system (for insurance company). We had another company coming out to complete the work but they kept pushing our date out. RS came out the same week and installed the new infinity series AC and air filtration system. They had a problem where the unit would not fit in the attic, so they had to remove the stairs. They informed me the stairs were already damaged and that they may have trouble reinstalling them. That ended up being true. But they bought us a brand new set of stairs. (Talk about service after install!) I would recommend this company to anyone looking for great fast service. Extremely professional. The tech even stayed late to make sure we knew how to work the new system. This system is way better than our old Trane system.

A technician came out on Wed and stated that the compressor had overheated and that there was some sort of safety valve that had caused it to shut itself down.  He stated he tried to cool it off but sometimes it takes a couple of hours.  He had to leave but stated someone else would be by later that evening to reset it.  Another technician came by and stated that it was still hot and he wasn?t able to do anything.  He stated sometimes they reset in 24 hours and sometime they never do and advised me to get a new
unit.  I call the company and requested a second opinion; before I spent thousands for a new unit I needed to know for
sure that nothing else could be done with my current one.  So a lead technician came out the very next day and stated the compressor had cooled off and he was able to clean my coils and fix my unit.  So I was very pleased that I didn?t have to replace my unit right away.  Although he did advise me it could last another week or a couple more years so I would still need to replace the unit down the road.
