My wife and I have been homeowners for over 30 years, owning three houses in three cities. For the past 20+ years we have been homeowners in metro Atlanta. We have hired a number of contractors in our day. Professional Home Improvement (PHI) is far and away the best company we have ever worked with. We have (enthusiastically!) shared our experience and recommended PHI to our friends and neighbors. We were motivated to write this review and share our experience more broadly because we remember how much time and effort we invested in finding a company to handle some or (as it has turned out) all of our home remodeling project. We contacted PHI because we were impressed by the PHI website, which we found in our search. We thought that if the promises and results we learned about on the PHI website were for real, this would be the company for us. We now have several months of experience with those promises and results and, if you care about the same three essentials that we care about, we cannot recommend PHI—Dennis & Jean Delashmit and their crew of tradesmen—more highly. Below are the three essentials we were looking for and attached are a few photos illustrating the quality of work that PHI produces and continues to produce as we prepare now to enter “phase 4” of our remodeling project (which began with a tryout—a wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling remodel of our desperately decrepit master bathroom—which yielded results that have thrilled us and turned into “phase 1” of an ongoing remodel of almost all of our home). The three essentials: (1) Effective communication throughout planning and execution. Dennis & Jean listen—with deep attention and comprehension. They have a calling to improve the lives of others by improving the functionality and beauty of the homes they wake up to and live in every day. Their respect for, attention to, and comprehension of our functional needs and aesthetic preferences have been profound. And this has persisted throughout planning and execution; they have initiated more contacts with us than we have with them—to inform us about what’s next, coordinate the activities of tradesmen with our lives, and ask more detailed questions about choices of equipment, supplies, etc., as each phase proceeds. (2) Expert, hard-working, trustworthy tradesmen and connections to suppliers. This is something that is absolutely essential to the experience of undergoing a remodel. Can you trust the expert skills of the tradesmen your contractor assembles and whose activities they coordinate? Are you comfortable with their presence in your home? Do they consistently deliver value while onsite? We have shared our home with the tradesmen enlisted by Dennis & Jean for several months, throughout phases 1, 2, and 3. We look forward to their arrival in our home, admire their skill, hard work, and dedication to doing things right, and are completely comfortable with having them in our home. Dennis & Jean also have longstanding relationships with many sources and suppliers, greatly streamlining the process of finding and selecting the right paint, flooring, equipment, etc. (3) Reasonable prices yielding exceptional value, with careful and thorough accounting. Dennis & Jean are sensitive to price and value, exacting in presenting options and prices, and careful and thorough in their accounting. In sum, an A+ for Dennis & Jean and the entire PHI team/network!

PHI did a fantastic with our basement build-out. Quality workman ship and project management. Clear progress to budget. I have use PMI more than once for large projects and have I have never been disappointed.

For 5 years, my wife pieced together (in her head and in example photos) her dream kitchen for our home. In 31 days, PHI made the dream a reality. This was the second remodel project for which we hired PHI. Dennis and Jean are exceptionally professional and meticulous. In our opinion, their value is unmatched. I recommend them anytime an opportunity presents itself.

January 9, 2025 Credit Where Credit Is Due 3 Estimates. That's the amount I usually arrange for any projects I want to undertake to get the best possible price and the most information regarding what goes in to their completion. That's because of Dennis Delashmit. I came across Dennis Delashmit back in 2019, My wife found him and a few others on Angie's List, but it was the things that Dennis did when he came to give his estimate (and what the others did NOT do) that caused us to go with him. He was, to say the least, very professional and detailed in his estimation of our project request and once he'd gotten started, was timely from start to completion and kept us informed with any snags or issues that may have come up. That pretty much set him up to be our first call when we decided to do a major bathroom remodel. Since that initial job, his wife Jean joined in on the fun and I have to say, is a great compliment to an already well oiled and thriving machine. Their prices are fair and follow along with what we'd gotten from others in the industry, but, again (and I can't stress enough) Dennis and Jean were more comprehensive and informative regarding all the things that would need to happen and in fact, became a benchmark used to measure other contractor's we've spoken with since initially meeting him back in 2019. I think that I was most impressed with how thorough they are, literally walked me through what needed to happen and bouncing ideas off of us to help bring us along for the ride.  A huge component, the hands-down mastermind behind the scenes, Florin, is very good at what he does (which, it seems, is everything - he's a true sculptor and artist, very well versed in his craft) and has been with Dennis for around 20+ years, if memory serves. He was like clockwork, arriving everyday consistently on time and ready to go - he took great care of the surrounding areas and tried to minimize the areas that were going to be affected by the dust and debris from the deconstruction and rebuild process. Floors and furniture were covered (and removed) by him daily and he also offered ideas and input on potential problem areas immediately. Dennis also had access to Electricians and Plumbers that he's apparently worked with for a number of years that were top notch as well, also offering feedback and suggestions as needed for the completion of their specific tasks. I'm trying to be as thorough in my review as possible but not run on overly much - basically, all I can say is, stop looking, you've found the right ones. The completed rebuild project went well above and beyond what we hoped or envisioned - I cannot praise Professional Home Improvement enough or give my whole Hearted recommendation with enough enthusiasm. These guys do amazing work and I will DEFINITELY use him again if the opportunity presents itself - in fact, I'm already in talks with and have gotten an estimate for them doing a remodel of my Man-Cave bathroom and look forward to what that's going to look like as well! Dennis, Jean and Florin are my guys...but I'm glad to loan them out to you...until my next project!

I cannot say enough about the Professional Home Improvement team. These are people who truly keep their word. We had had people who were coming to our home and would ghost us. They would take measurements, get our email, and promised us an estimate. Then, we would not hear from them again. This situation happened over and over. But, when we got PHI, it was a totally different story. They were professional, timely, and highly efficient. It only took a couple of days to demolish our bathroom; then, the real work began. From start to finish for two bathrooms, it was approximately six to eight weeks. It was absolutely FANTASTIC. They have a great tiler/painter person name Florin. His work is awesome. He's meticulous in everything that he does. Try PHI. You won't be sorry that you did.

Great! This is the third time using PHI (another bathroom and then kitchen) and there are several reasons why. Their work is first rate and they're intent on doing a good job. They're easy to communicate with and reliable for holding to the work schedule. Probably the main reasons we've used them several times is their work ethic and craftsmanship. They show up when they say they will and have the skills to do the work correctly. We have complete trust in PHI and can recommend them with no reservations.

Professional Home Improvement, Inc. completed the a bathroom remodel and we are thrilled with the results! The quality of the work is stellar; the crew was professional; the work was completed on time and on budget. The owner is a member of the National Association of Remodelers Industry and their professionalism, design and build services, and ongoing communication were exemplary. When it is time, we plan to hire PHI to remodel our second bathroom. We wholeheartedly recommend PHI for any bathroom and kitchen remodeling needs.

This was a pleasant experience from beginning to end. I was not looking forward to doing this renovation but it went so smoothly. All work was done promptly, people arrived and left when promised, the house was clean after they left and everyone was polite and considerate. I would highly recommend PHI for anyone planning to get work done in their bathroom, no matter what size. I would definitely use them again.

The craftsmen that work at PHI were timely and very proficient. They listened to the needs and suggested solutions to our issues at a reasonable price. Then the job was done straight through and finished before the expected date. The jobs includes demolition, surface prep, tile work, painting, cabinets, plumbing and electrical alterations, and adding barn doors. All of the individuals were very proficient and did their job quickly so that others would not be held up. I recommend this group highly and we will have them back next year to do the other bathroom too.

The project was completed promptly and done in a highly professional manner. The installer is a true artisan who takes his time and cares deeply about his work. Dennis was very helpful in planning the project and helping us make informed decisions along the way.

My wife and I are extremely pleased with our master bathroom remodel project. Dennis, Jean, and Florin were able to take the ideas that were our heads and make it a reality. They listened to all our ideas and let us know what is and isn't possible and in the end the project came out absolutely beautiful. From proposal to completion they were all professional and kept in constant communication so we were all on the same page. The pictures really speak for themselves.

Valentine's team was amazing. They did our entire roof in one day and didn't stop until everything was clean. They were hard-working, knowledgeable, and friendly. No debris was left behind. The only way I could tell that they had been there was that I had a wonderful new roof.

We could not be more pleased with the master bathroom renovation performed by Dennis Delashmit and his PHI team. Renovation is stressful at the best of times, but having to make selections and have different individuals in your home while on COVID-19 shelter in place restrictions could be extremely trying. Dennis and his wife, Jean. assisted us with finding materials and even went to one large shop themselves to send us photos of options when it seemed that the tile we had picked might not be available. Dennis outlined the safety guidelines that everyone would follow, and his team was very compliant with the steps outlined. (Masks were worn whenever we had to be in the space where they were working, a dedicated service/work entrance was used, daily temperature checks performed)We were reassured by the skilled professionals that performed various aspects of the renovation. Dennis would always inform us of who would be working in our home the following day. Amazingly, work progress quite smoothly and was finished and the expected timeframe. If we requested adjustments or additional work, the request were handled in a very timely and professional fashion. We were so pleased with our newly remodeled and much more attractive master bathroom. The results are beautiful, and we would highly recommend PHI. They would be the first company we would consider for future work.

Professional Home Improvement delivered an outstanding renovation to our Kitchen. The owner Dennis was very thorough throughout the process keeping us up to date with everything that was going on. We replaced laminate countertops with quartz, added a new sink, faucet, backsplash, and new handles on repainted cabinetry. The Kitchen turned out much better than we expected. as a result of the high-quality work and customer service provided by Dennis and his team at a fair price. Dennis and Jean were very professional, workers were always on time and sometimes worked on weekends to get the job done. His estimation of the amount of time it would take to complete the project was accurate. Although the cost was a bit more than what I anticipated paying (some of it was due to the materials I chose), would highly recommend them for any project. I'm exceptionally pleased with the work!

Excellent! Every step in the process went very smoothly. I was even able to change plans half-way through. After seeing how gorgeous the walk in shower was, I asked if the bathroom walls could be tiled partway up. Florin was able to do it and make it look like that was the original plan. Also I now enjoy going in the laundry room whereas it used to be depressing just to walk in it. It's been almost 4 years since the work was done and I'm still loving it.

Dennis (the owner) has a VERY professional demeanor and was very concise with his estimates (we pitched him a couple scenarios for a bathroom remodel) and very reasonable on pricing (we'd spoken with a couple of other contractors regarding a Bathroom remodel that were nowhere NEAR as thorough in their home visit and assessment/breakdown on what would need to happen and why). He addressed any questions we had and made himself very accessible for any follow-ups or information needed. The job was very well done and took nowhere NEAR as long as we thought (or had been told by the other contractors) his staff was very professional and courteous and cleaned up after themselves everyday and when all was said and done, he'd far exceeded our expectations! I have worked with many contractors on our home improvements. Dennis & his team at Professional Home Improvement are by far the best. Every step of the process was executed flawlessly. The contract served as the roadmap throughout the process. The team was always respectful of our home & every evening they ensured that the area was cleaned. Dennis was great at helping us decide on finishes & really listened to what we wanted. We now have a beautiful Master Bath! Dennis is one of the best remodelers in Atlanta! I have used him on several projects going back at least 13-14 years. For my most recent project, he completely remodeled my 1980's-era kitchen (before & after photos are below). He added additional custom-made cabinets, installed new granite counters and tile backsplash, new sink and fixtures, replaced all the lighting and added new accent lighting, and installed a new stove and microwave. In my powder room he replaced the old Corian vanity with granite and a new sink and fixture. In addition, his excellent carpenter even repaired a broken bookcase in my living room! At a previous home, Dennis built a beautiful screened porch with cathedral ceiling at the back of my house. It was literally my favorite place to sit, and I enjoyed it immensely. He also repaired my mother's home when she "accidentally" drove her car through the dining room wall!!! Dennis can do anything! He is extremely thorough and looks at every detail, fully explains his plans, costs, and timing. He uses very qualified subs who have worked with him for many years, all of whom are very trustworthy. When I get ready to update my bathrooms and build a new screen porch, Dennis will be the man I call. Marilyn

Dennis and his team did a super job remodeling our master bathroom. We are completely satisfied and couldn’t wish for any results greater than received. Work was performed in a professional manner, completed on schedule, team was courteous and the job site was kept clean at all times. Definitely worth the wait! We had to wait a few months for Dennis to begin our project, but I felt like his reputation to do a great job was more important than having it started quickly. We were not disappointed! We did a complete remodel of our master bath (wall demo, floors, shower, counter tops, fixtures etc.), added granite counter tops to 3 additional bathrooms and added recessed lighting in the kitchen. From start to finish Dennis was always open to answering my questions (and I had a lot) and he clearly explained the work through the process. He listened to what I wanted and made suggestions to ensure we got the best finished product. The contractors he works with are all friendly and professional, especially Florin who's tile and shower work are impeccable! The work was completed on time and budget and looks amazing.
