"Customer was well aware that the piano needed extensive work in order to make it work better and an estimate of $495 was offered at the time but customer declined the work. We provided information for a quick fix that would possibly work and did not offer any certainty or offer charged for the information we also showed the customer where to buy a better lubricant on the internet to possibly fix the problem. The $195 charge was related to piano tuning nothing else... i guess with customer like you we should avoid any free advice and let you figure it out yourself to avoid spoiling our impeccable reputation!!!"
"Thanks for the nice review, we try to provide our customer with the best possible service and value at any time!"

He shows up at the new home on time with one helper. Doesn't set up any ramps, doesn't put the piano on a skid. lifts the piano by himself on the dolly. If it had gone too far he would have dropped it. Use a blanket to slide the piano down the stairs and then needed my help to get the piano dolly under it again. Did not use a ramp down the second set of steps and end up drop about 6" down to the next step with a loud thud. Straps the piano into the van while still on the furniture dolly.
At the new house I required him to use ramps but again he needed help to get the piano up the stairs.
No apparent damage was done to the piano during the moving process. He did remove the front key cover and remove a pencil that got lodged behind the cover during the moving process. Applied some wood polish to some scratches not made during the moving process.
At the end he asked me how much money he had quoted me (seeming to hope I had forgotten). I told him $395 as previously discussed and he said he wouldn't normally move a baby grand with stairs for so cheap. I reminded him that informed him of all the details of the move including all the stairs over the phone when he quoted me the job. He asked if I wanted additional tuning and repairs and I refused any additional work.
Overall I felt the moving process was lazy and unprofessional. It's not that hard to set up a ramp that you already have in your truck and use a piano skid that is sitting strapped in your truck. They just didn't want to take the time to do the job right.
If I hand't continued your reach out and remind him of the job I'm pretty sure he would have forgotten and not showed up at all. His price was $30 cheaper than the other guy I called but in the end $30 would have been cheap compared to a possible broken piano due to lazy work or a no show.,
"We are sorry our way of moving your piano did not meet your expectation but as you said the piano arrived in perfect condition and we offered some additional service like removing a pencil inside the piano by removing the action mechanism at no extra charge... It is true that we ask customer to confirm appointment a day before otherwise you cannot be assure that we will show up unless somebody picks up the phone."

"THIS PIANO was very badly out of tune and a stable tuning is not possible within one simple visit since the strings are stretching quite a bit when a piano is that flat however we can provide a free touch up tuning exceptionally this time since our goal it to achieve 100% customer satisfaction."
