The Lee Co. building inspector, Joey Davenport, put a stop order on the job. Nothing was up to code. Mr. Burke's card says that he's licensed. He's not licensed in the State of Georgia. So, he didn't get the building permit that he charged me for. Everything that he did in that room had to be torn out. It cost me $4,600.00 just to turn it back into a bedroom, and that doesn't cover the home inspector, bldg pernit, and the new septic man that came in to fix his mess. That cost was $2,550.00. I've had to hire an attorney, his retainer bill was $2,500. All this cost and not one nail has been driven in the mother-in-law suite yet! Please, take it from me, don't deal with him, run!!!!! Mr. Burke talks a big story and tell you what a good christen he is. I assuming that we all know that he is a liar and a thief.
Description of Work: He was to build a 3 room mother-in-law suite on to my sons home. He came in, tore up and existing bedroom that he was to make into a bathroom, took off siding and cut a hole to the outside in the hallway. He (secured) the house by putting a closet door in the hole. It didn't fit and it didn't lock. Therefore, the house was robbed. He took out the septic tank, that he charged me $2,500.00 for, and put the new one in the proper area. He took out the privacy fence to get in there, tore up the whole yard and never came back. I was suppose to get the addition, air conditioning unit, 100 amp electrical service, tankless water heater totally complete. Turn key. I paid him $18,700.00 and I got nothing but a big mess.
