Amazing experience.  My master bedroom ceiling and 1 wall were torn down from a water incident in the upstairs bathroom.  Robert is very professional and the crew was always on time.  The repair work was very well done and I can't even tell that there was ever an issue.  They even fixed a small leak in my roof while repairing the ceiling.  I added on the repair to a door jam that was previously broke.
The upstairs bathroom wall was supposed to be repaired as well.  I had been told that the wall was bad by a company doing the water restoration process.  Repairs Unlimited checked the wall and told me that nothing was wrong and saved me $500.
Very honest company.  Everything was fixed in 5 days.  Highly recommend and will definitely use them again for repairs around the house.

The price quoted was the price charged. They did great work. They were very nice.

The cons were that it took them a really long time, and they left trash lying around at the end of every day. Anything from broken glass to cigarette butts. I have dogs and small children.
Response from Repairs Unlimited
"It did take us longer than planned but only because of the processes it took to do the job we were hired to do ( glazing, drying times etc. not to mention we were rained out several days. The painting of the checker boarding on the rear porch was very time consuming. They also added several other items for us to do. The job site cleanliness has been addressed."

It took several weeks from the initial bid (November 11, 2014) until start date (January 12, 2015).  This worked out well, though, since it was over the holiday season anyway.  We are very impressed with the professionalism, courtesy and skill with which all the work described above was performed.  We will definitely count on Repairs Unlimited for our future home repair needs.  Great experience!

When I initially found Repairs Unlimited on Angie's List I was skeptical as to the authenticity of their reviews. They were all
enthusiastic and glowing that I was afraid that they might have been written by a PR person! I soon discovered that those reviews honestly presented a true picture of the excellent work delivered by the company.
From the outset, when I indicated that the condition of my house was the result of a previous bad job, and asked that an estimate reflect the hard work that would be involved in restoring the appearance of the clapboard siding, I was expecting a much higher estimate. The bottom line was surprisingly reasonable (and the job came in at that price). Having accepted the estimate, I was told that their jobs were begun on a first-come first-serve basis, and that there were two jobs ahead of mine. Roby Medley (owner) was regularly in touch by email and telephone, letting me know the likely start date for my project, reporting progress on the initial job, and later responding to my requests for additional work.
I understand that there are a number or skilled workers employed, but my painting and repairs were accomplished y Roby Medley, Mr. Cook, Larry, and James. They were reliable, meticulous, and pleasant to interact with.
Now that I’ve visited Repairs Unlimited's PaceBook page, and have seen pictures of various remodeling projects they've been involved in, I'm feeling inspired to undertake some interior renovations. The company name definitely says it all--Repairs Unlimited!
PS: I’m an actual client, not a PR person!

Outstanding. The owner personally came to my home and prepared the estimate. Very informal. As the buyer, ask lots of questions. We discussed alternatives in the event the floors under the carpet were not in a condition suitable for restoration. He provided cost estimates for both options.
The team that worked on my home was never more than 3, normally a 2 man team. They were very punctual, respectful and considerate of my privacy since I lived in the home while the work was done.
Shortly after the start, when removal of the carpet exposed prior work that damaged the original floors, it became necessary to decide to install new flooring instead of restore the old. The owner walked through and provided the new estimate. Within one day we were able to decide and continue the work, which included replacing the sub-floor in one room.
I was impressed with the attention to detail of the work team. They put in extra effort to match the original floor finish, molding, paint color, cabinet stain color. I was very pleased with the outcome and felt comfortable with the team working in my home while at work or at home.
I do plan to use them again for multiple improvements.

They were good to begin with, but then they did some things that I wasn't pleased with. They hung an interior door and the door wasn't even hung right. They didn't put the knob on it and it wouldn't even close. I took all the toilets out of my house to replace them and I disconnected them and kept them sitting in the house. They just put them back on top of the hose and was using them without any water to them.

My wife and I had recently purchased some land outside of Albany Ga and it came with a 1920's farm house that had been worked on over the years but obviously not in the last 20. It needed a lot of work and we wanted to start with the outside. We had several different contractors come out for site visits and estimates for the laundry list of work we wanted done. None of them could really keep up with what we wanted nor instilled the confidence in us that they would be able to start, and finish, the job. We decided to look on Angie's List and saw Robert's reviews (Repairs Unlimited). He came out we explained what we wanted to do.
Over an hour later, my wife and I knew we wanted this man to do the work. I didn't care what he charged, I knew we could trust him and that he would be detailed to perfection. We prioritized the work to be done and he provided estimates of the 7 different jobs within a single day. The first one, the exterior, was the most important and we hired him to do that work. His estimate was less expensive than what others were quoting. Over a period of a 6 to 8 weeks, Robert and his crew did the work and provided estimates for additional outside jobs we decided to add. There was no hidden costs and every additional item of work we wanted, Robert suggested different ways to do it cheaper than our original idea. He also helped us find plumbers and electricians and fixed some items inside the house that was not even on the work order. We trusted him enough to leave him a key to the property and the house when we were gone. He and his crew will be the ones to do the remaining 6 jobs after the fantastic work they did on the first one.
His work included the following:
1 - Replace damaged/rotted outside wood (all wood house)
2 - Pressure wash, caulk, prime, and paint exterior (the before/after pictures are incredible)
3 - Fix leaks in both chimneys, seal the windows
4 - Repair outside doors
5 - Re-screen front porch
They did an amazing job. No one recognizes the place anymore. I highly recommend him and his team!

Robert Medley (owner) and James did an awesome job! I can't truly articulate just how pleased I was with their performance. My 2800-square foot home is filled with intricately designed wide crown moulding, fluted (structural) columns and door casements as well as high baseboards with 1/4 round that really needed attention to detail since I was using high gloss paint which, by its very nature, would show every little imperfection. Although the existing paint job was still aesthetically pleasing, primarily because I used a neutral color palette to begin with, the previous professional contractor who I hired years ago to do job had left a lot of debris (think sanding residue and unfilled dings) underneath the paint that you could feel whenever you cleaned. I admit it's not probably something that would bother most people but it irked the and quot;you know whatand quot; out of me since I know a good paint job when I see one and this simply wasn't up to my standards. (Unfortunately at that time I was up against a firm closing date for my contractor-to-conventional mortgage shift and the final inspection was due therefore I put up with it rather than delay and watch interest rates go up.) So when I finally decided to take the plunge again and repaint this year, I had four hard and fast rules which anyone submitting a proposal would have to factor in and guarantee my satisfaction with their work: (1.) fill, sand, caulk and apply a 2-coat paint process until there was smooth, mirror-like finish on all my trim, doors and columns and straight cut-in lines on my walls with no flashing or bleed through of the old paint, (2) use the best of Sherwin Williams' or Porter Paint brand products, (3.) perform the job with only two painters in my home, one of which had to be the owner...no unsupervised subs...and finally (4.) leave my light colored hard wood floors or white carpet as pristine as when you arrived. I interviewed and received bids from three contractors before I hired Robert and I'm so glad I chose his team. Each morning, over the course of 7 workdays, they arrived promptly at 8 a.m. and departed at 4 p.m., taking only a half-hour lunch break in between. Both were meticulous, neatly cleaning up and vacuumed their work areas daily so I didn't have to, put up with my nit-noid inspection of every aspect from prep to completion and taught me not only great trade techniques but the difference between someone simply calling themselves a painter and a fabulously professional one. An added bonus was they installed my new Schlage door handle and dead bolt, just as a courtesy and at no charge, since I'd recently stained my mahogany front door and applied several coats of marine spar high gloss urethane to it.
If you're looking for the and quot; WOWand quot; factor as opposed to the and quot;Aww crap what was I thinking?and quot; moment when you stand back and look at your home after someone paints it, I'd say hire Repairs Unlimited to make your house look and and quot;feeland quot; like a showroom. These guys know prep work is 75% of the effort which ultimately translates into a great finish on any surface. But please, do me a huge favor and call them after I'm done using their services so I don't have to stand in line behind you!
I'll continue to update my review of their work as we move through the remaining two phases scheduled for January 2013.
