Roof Man

I had a pretty horrible experience with them. He called me and offered to come out and give me an evaluation and a price. He spotted all the damage and he assured me he could get this done under my insurance. I told him, If he could get that under insurance, he got the job. I basically did not know anything about roofs. When the roof man started the job, it went downhill. They showed up in a van that was twenty years old, nobody spoke English. These guys get up there, they were pretty responsive but none of them speak English. I watched them like a hawk. They were ripping everything off. they scratched all the paint on my brand new gutters. I found three spots up there, that they did not do properly. There was some areas that they pounded the nails down that held the plywood, but they did not new nails in. They pushed in all the older nails back in and there was a lot of bubbles, which annoyed me. The chimney looked like a mud project done in grade school. They get everything done in a day. After they left, I got so mad, I called the owner. I showed him the flashes on the chimney. He gave me back a cheque for 650 bucks. I told him I'd do the flashing myself. So I got some satisfaction there. You end up with roofers doing all the work and no one is inspecting it. They don't care if they don't do it properly. I'm not real happy about it at all. They did something wrong.
