We hired Property Tax Relief in March 2010. They were supposed to represent us and file all of the appropriate paperwork, do comparisons of property values in our area and attend all meetings that are required by the Douglas County, GA Board of Equalization. Property Tax Relief did not file the appropriate appeals, nor did they attend the Board of Equalization Meeting to represent us as the homeowner. The Board of Equalization held the meeting, Property Tax Relief did not notify us that they were not going to attend and the Board of Equalization made a decision regarding our property taxes without anyone there to represent the taxpayer or make an argument on behalf of the property owner. Our taxes increased from June 15, 2010 to January 26, 2011 by $787.03!
Description of Work: Property Tax Relief LLC is a company that is supposed to represent the property owners in property tax matters and to explore all options to successfully reduce the property tax burden assessed to the respective property owners on the real property.
