MK Paint Contractors

First of all, the crew that was here was very unprofessional. They were laughing and cutting up the whole time. They were loud. My wife is Hispanic and there was a lot of cursing in Spanish. They were very disruptive. Basically they took every possible shortcut and cut every corner they could. An example, my wife happened to be getting home and one of the main things we wanted them to do was to sand, prime and paint the gutters. My wife found the crew leader spray painting the primer directly on the rust and then brushing paint directly on the wet primer. When she asked him about this he said they had pressure washed the rust. Essentially they just painted over the rust on all the gutters. The glazing of the windows is what has prompted this report. They agreed to chip away any old glazing around the windows and reapply new glazing. What they did was chip some away, paint over others and some they just painted without putting new glaze. They tried to pawn this off as work completed. When we brought Ken in to look at this he agreed it was terrible and said he?d have it corrected. This work was done tremendously sloppy. It looked like a 10 year old had done this. When I pointed this out to him he said he?d make it right. This was day two of a 2 or 3 day job. We showed him everything that was wrong with the job and he said he?d even fired some of the guys because our work was so bad. He said he?d send another crew out to fix the first crews job. They started on a Monday and it wasn?t until the following Sunday that they finished. Still today it looks bad. Some of the paint is so clumpy it looks like crunchy peanut butter! We specifically asked for Sherwin Williams paint and this was even in the agreement. I found out they actually used Bear paint from Home Depot. He never told us he would be doing this. They tracked wet paint onto our deck. We were not satisfied with the job they did in anyway. In 20 years I?ve never had an issue like this. I finally just paid him to be done with him.
