Akins plumbing and septic

Were able to schedule an appointment after the second call. Service people arrived on time. We told them approximately where the septic tank was located. They probed around a little and said they would not be able to pump our tank until we removed some cement/stone steps located over the tank, all without putting a shovel in the ground. Removing and looking into a pipe clean-out, they said we needed to act quickly. They also recommended we have a retaining wall removed that they felt was located on top of the inlet pipe at the tank. We paid them for their time and they left. We decided to contact another company located in Cumming. They came a week later in the pouring rain. They located the exact position of the tank, dug down to expose the 2 tank openings, pumped the tank and cleaned the filter, installed risers, all without disturbing the cement/stone steps. The tank was in good shape (3" scum / 6" solid). They also confirmed the retaining wall was not over the inlet pipe.

The service representative, Nick, was courteous, respectful, knowledgeable, and skiled. Though we had to reschedule due to weather, he stayed in contact and called 30 minutes prior to coming as promised. He located the septic tank, explained the cleaning process, and finished the job expeditiously. He tested the system for water flow, cleaned up the area, returned the turf, and left the yard in good condition. He is a credit to your company! We would definitely use Akins again!
