Once again Jay did not disappoint. My condo was up for sale and under contract. I needed to have the decks painted so that the new owners did not have a bad time with the condo Nazis. I called Jay and he was able to get on the job in a matter of days.

Pickets, which were inside the screen, had to be removed and painted. All exterior wood had to be done in a conforming color on 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor decks. Jay and his crew got the job done in two days - to the association's satisfaction (which is no easy task).

I thought the price was more than fair. Without Jay I may have lost the sale. The only complaint I have is that he does not work in Florida - where I now live. He is reliable, dependable and honest.

Staining and interior painting satisfactory. Repair of door jamb, unsatisfactory. Initial Unprofessional, would not hire or recommend.

We wanted a new separate garage on our property. This building needed cement slab and driveway. Mr Dresser coordinated the necessary grading, tree removal and cement walls for garage. Then he started on the room that I wanted above the garage. It kept getting bigger in my mind and Mr Dresser provided all the information about my expanding project. He offered many suggestions for improvements and how we could make something better. We are postponing completion of the kitchen and big deck until next year. All the interior and exterior work will be done this month, including metal roof, doors, windows, insulation, interior wood work and painting inside and out.

I hired Jay to do some remodeling to my condo in Helen. He found that we had major water damage inside the walls which threatened the structural integrity of the building. I was not surprised as there were indications that there were problems. What started as some remodeling ended with the rebuilding of 1/3 of my condo.

When I saw Jay at work I knew that I hired the right guy. He is knowledgeable, professional and more than competent. These qualities were obvious to the building inspector, the condo board and to me. He rebuilt half of my condo while keeping an eye on the bottom line. The quality and scope of work he did is amazing – especially at the price. He was even there to help with first aid when my granddaughter was stung by bees! If I need anything done in the future, Jay is my guy. Thank you, Angie’s List, for helping me find him.

If you are remodeling an older building be mindful of surprises when the surface is scratched. Always hire the company that cares enough about their profession to maintain their license and insurance. If you can get Jay to do the work, you will not be disappointed.

Jay is the owner of the company. I was very satisfied with him. I was impressed with the way he communicated with me about what he was going to do. I just felt that he came in and he gave me an estimate as to what it would be and actually he completed the work under estimate. He went above and beyond what I expected. I felt he was very knowledgeable and professional. He supervised the people who came with him well. He works with them. They picked up everything and took care of the site and made sure that they put away everything better than the way they found it. I found them very professional. I sent the Angie's List reference in 2010, and I have called him back this spring. He worked for me again, for several weeks. I have another house and I really wanted him to work because he does a beautiful job, but he was too busy and I had to hire somebody else for the work. As far as I know, when I went online, he was the only contractor in the Northeast Georgia. I thought it very important he be listed for people looking on Angie's List, as he is excellent and does great work. I would definitely use his service in the future as he is a great contractor.

Jay Dresser gave me an estimate that was lower than the others, but what impressed me most was his creativity and honesty. He made many suggestions for ways to do it better than I had planned. Work progressed on schedule. His team came in and began working when he said. They did the digging and put in cement underneath and new support posts. They had to jack up the whole porch to do this and to take out the 4and quot; sag that had resulted from lack of proper support under the original porch. They took down the old screen and put in windows all around with insulation in all the walls, ceiling and under the floor. They added 2 new doors to the porch and a doggie door and ramp for our pets. The 8 large slider windows give us as much light and open views as the old screen and provide a way to close out the weather. I bought a new reverse cycle air conditioner that they installed as well as the necessary electrical outlets. After all the construction was completed, his team painted the porch inside and out. We decided on a tile floor to complete the project. After the floor was dry and sealed, they carried out and placed all the furniture. This is a large porch on the back of the house. It doubles our living room space and connects to the kitchen via a glass door and deck via french doors. (See pictures below)

This year, over a period of several weeks, he completed the rest of the renovation needed. Starting in March 2011, he worked inside or out depending on the weather. Outside was pressure washed and prepped for painting. Job looks great and he is careful to clean up everything after work. Inside he moved furniture and removed all the carpet upstairs. He painted LR, kitchen, bath and 2 bedrooms. Then he installed ceramic tile in kitchen and DR area. He installed 2 new toilets including fixing a leaky pipe. I decided that I wanted bead board wainscoting in one bathroom and the dining area. Within 2 days he had it stained and installed. Beautiful. He arranged for installation of new carpet and replaced all the furniture. Now I have a completely renovated house.
