The install went well and the parts supplied we OK, but the pressure in the home decreased. I called Lowes and they sent the plumber out and he reported that the softener was defective and suggested they replace the unit. Lowes then called and made an appointment to send one of their personnel to the house to troubleshoot the problem. He did not show and called instead and said that I should call Whirlpool and take up the issue directly with them. I told him I purchased the unit from them and paid to have Lowes install the unit so it was done correctly. He said he was sorry but I had to deal with Whirlpool. Of course I didn't get far with Whirlpool.
