Ray Charbonneau Dry Wall

Ray is a very nice guy and works hard but unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with his drywall work. We hired him to install about 4000 square feet of drywall in our basement. He worked mostly by himself and after working 10-1/2 days he was finished. After he left we spent a day cleaning up dust to prepare to paint and noticed that most of the ceilings and a third or so of the wall joints still needed attention. Some just needed a little more sanding but many needed more joint compound to repair bubbles and trowel marks. It was not a good job. I called Ray and he came back and worked another day and a half (he said he was expecting me to call). After he left the second time and another day cleaning dust, there were still rough areas and I fixed the ones we found myself. While painting we found more, mainly inside corners that hadn’t been well sanded. Had Ray been the low bidder we may not have been as disappointed, but he wasn’t. Our low bid was more than $1500 less than Ray, but he made a great first impression and we decided to go with him.

Ray drywalled a 2 x 3 area and hand textured the area to match the existing wall. Fair pricing and excellent work. Ray also paints, cleans gutters and other handyman jobs. We will certainly call and use his services again.

Ray was great to work with. He was recommended to me from my plumber who uses him to repair drywall on his jobs. The job came out great and Ray was very accommodating with my requests. He takes pride in his work and does an excellent job. I think most of his work comes from other professionals as opposed to direct consumers, so his prices are good. He's very responsive and a pleasure to work with. I employed his services again just a few days later to repair some termite damage in one of my walls and he did a great job with that as well.
