Hicks Residential Roofing, LLC

It is stated they have been in business since 1980. On BBB website it says they started the business in August 2019. This is evidently when the name was changed from Hicks Roofing to Hicks Residential Roofing. After signing a large contract with Hicks Roofing in December 2018, and paying more than a 50% advance, very little work had been done by August 2019. Received a threat of a lien from a subcontractor in October 2019 due to Hicks not paying the subcontractor. Asked Hicks Roofing for something to show me what work they had done and paid for. Got a call next day from the owner and Mr. Connell. Was told they were going bankrupt, office has been closed, and all records had been removed. We paid the $13,600 before lien was filed, I cannot find any record of bankruptcy by Hicks Roofing, just a name change adding the word “Residential”. I was told they were going bankrupt AFTER the name had already been changed according to info on the BBB site. Pretty Slick. Just Saying

Hicks Roofing did an awesome job. I got numerous bids and Hicks was the most professional from the start. They were competitively priced, completed the most thorough inspection and recommendations and the crew was fantastic with all of the required safety equipment. I have the best looking roof in the neighborhood and these guys are real pros. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Needed to replace gutters that had 12 cuts to bend around a bay window.  Used Hicks Roofing for replacing my roof several years ago and wanted them to replace a portion of the gutters.  Sealing the old gutters had been tried several times to no avail.  Worked with Kelly Hicks to get an estimate and have the work done.  She was very responsive in all  respects.  The job was especially difficult, not only because of the bends needed, but because the gutters were about 4 floors up from the yard and 2 floors up from an upper deck.  The two workers arrived on time, were polite and knew their business.

They are well known around here and they've been in business a long time.

Guters still work great 11 years later. Like i said, good work, but I cannot accept the attitude that is ok not to show up for weeks with no phone cal

I had an excellent experience with them. They are prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable. They always get the problem fixed eventually even if it is a difficult one. Given the experience they have and the kind of people they hire, you really can’t go wrong. They diagnose the problem pretty quickly, and their price is competitive. They follow up very well. They are a very good company.

We were satisfied with them. They worked very hard and got it done quickly. They would arrive when the sun came up and wouldn’t get off the roof till the sun went down, and that was in the middle of summer. I was pretty impressed. They came and got the job done well, which is what we wanted. We did have one leakage after a big rain, probably because a nail had gone through a certain area in the roof, but they came back out and patched that up pretty quickly. We haven’t had any trouble with it. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

I was very happy with my overall experience. It ended up costing more than they estimated because they found more repairs then they expected. I know that they were fixed right and it was worth the extra money to have peace of mind and a solid new roof.

Hicks replaced a roof in my neighborhood and it looks so nice that I decided to call them for some gutter and siding work. The people were nice all around from the repair crews to the office staff and to say the least they did an excellent job on my gutters and siding. I was very pleased with the outcome. Whenever I decide to replace my roof, I will be giving Hicks a call. I would highly recommend Hicks to anyone!!

Hicks did a wonderful job on my roof. The salesman explained everything to me before proceeding with the work and everything he said they were going to do they did. I was very pleased with the way everything was handled in a timely fashion. I would recommend Hick's Roofing to family and friends.

I severely regret using Hicks. They farmed out all of the work to day laborers who did not speak English. They took a week to do a two day job because if the crew showed up, they were late, did little work and left early. They left their tarps and debris on my lawn for the entire time, killing several plants and damaging the lawn. There was no care taken to protect the house, the work was mediocre and the service is the worst I've ever encountered from any home service provider.

This company was extremely clean and even used one of those magnetic gadgets to make sure they picked up any loose nails that might have fallen down. They were punctual, professional, and the price was the best estimate out of the others we inquired on.
