ETHAN ALLEN

I went to Ethan Allen in August 2007 and purchased 2 pcs. of furniture. I knew I was paying more for what I could get elsewhere, but was willing to do so, as I THOUGHT Ethan Allen had excellent service. After multiple phone calls, I still have not received the furniture. I finally cancelled my order. Three weeks later I called to find out where they were in processing my refund and was told I could not cancel the order or return the furniture (that I didn't have!) per their policy.I've spoken to several "managers" who each claim some different policy and don't seem to have any correct info on my initial order. A "district mgr." was supposed to call me back and never did. I plan to take them to small claims court to get my money back and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I've since discovered that they have many complaints against them. DO NOT BUY for Ethan Allen. The service stinks, the prices are outrageous and the people are very rude after they've made the sale.

The designer was great to work with. She came to my home and was able to present several options based on my personal style and space. I am still waiting for the last custom piece to be delivered.

THE PRICES WERE PRETTY EXPENSIVE, SO I CHOSE TWO SIMILAR STYLES AND QUALITY AT ANOTHER COMPANY.
