H & G Plumbing

Overall it was really bad. I called them to do specifically what I asked for. He wanted to put in a new sink. They took out everything. I paid money prior to the job being done. He said the job was going to take 4 days. He didn?t put in the faucets and drains that I wanted. He wanted more money on top of everything. I didn?t want to pay him, but I was afraid.

I?ll come other time to put sink in, but I don?t want him to come back. I tried to get money back. He was bragging on the cell phone about how much money he made from me. He never showed up when he said he would give me some of the money back.

He uses cheaper materials. He didn't use the materials he said he was going to use. The price of the job was ridiculous. He bragged about coming back to fix his mistakes.

One check was for $357 for the equipment. The next day when he went to leave, he said he needed another check for $257. The total of the 2 checks came to $614.

H&G gave me a quote to match a previous quote and then changed everything on me after the work had begun.  What they told me would happen did not.  They said that a noise I heard that sounding like running water would stop in an hour.  Well, it actually was running water and they then supposedly identified another problem, a busted pipe under ground which they said would cost an additional $1600 on top of the estimate. Even after the work was I notified them that they ruptured my sprinkler lines when they dug up the ground.  They said they did not do it, so I had to call someone else to get more work done.  The bottom line with H&G is that you can not trust anything that they say.  I was disappointed because they seemed so honest.  They are NOT!  If you hire them, go ahead a get a backup plan because you will absolutely need them.  Beware!!

The price was excellent and I was surprised. I have never done any of this work and this was the first time I had to really do anything major on any of my homes that I have owned. They were excellent. I had no problem and as a matter of fact following day there was a leak from the water heater. I called them up and they were here 20 minutes later. It was excellent, there was no concern whatsoever and we had no worries.

This plumbing company should be ASHAMED of the work that they do. First, the plumber Mr. Jackson, who works for H & G Plumbing, told us that our water heater needed to brought up to code because the previous installer did a bad job (supposedly). Mind you, that's not why we called the plumbing company in the first place. He also ran a plastic tubing from the water heater to the water and ice maker in the refrigerator. I told him before he started that the installer said that this particular refrigerator needed a copper tube not a plastic one, but he said that it was OK and pointed to a sticker on back of the refrigerator that noted a plastic tubing would be fine. Next, he repaired the leak under the bathroom and kitchen sink. Well, after he spent 7 hours in our home (2pm-9pm) he fixed the leaks but the sink in the kitchen was still leaking; it was a drainage issue, water was coming back from under the sink because the clog was preventing water from draining. To complete this saga, about a week after this work was done, the bathroom sink NOW leaks and the plastic tubing that he installed had a hole in it which caused the installation in the attic the become soaked with water. This new leak in the tubing he installed caused the water laden installation to become so heavy that it fell through the roof! We had water, installation, and sheet rock all over our floor along with a gaping hole in our ceiling to boot! After we contacted him about the issue we now have, his response was that it wasn't his fault because his company didn't make the tubing, he just installed it. Now we estimate that it's going to cost us AGAIN to fix what should have been done when we called on H & G Plumbing in the beginning, not to mention repairing the ceiling. If you hire this company to do any sort of work for you, you've been warned!

He was nice and seemed honest and thorough. He was very professional.

THE EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD. THE PLUMBING DONE IN THE BATHROOM WAS GOOD, AND THE OUTCOME OF THE SERVICES WERE DONE WAS NICELY. THE REPRESENTATIVES WERE NICE.
