I have used many CPE masks even before COVID. The masks made here are the best I have ever used. They fit perfectly, are the highest quality materials, great selection of patterns, do not interfere in anyway, and do not fog when I wear glasses. I recommend you stop in and pick up a few. They have them in all sizes. Dr. John

Emily and Medlock Alterations went far beyond expectations! First, the quality of work and dependability in meeting the have ready date were A+. The reason for writing this review however was her going beyond all expectations. Not only did she replace the damaged sleeve button on my blazer, she replaced ALL buttons to ensure a perfect match. The service she provides is unique and a breath of fresh air!

I picked it up the afternoon of the gala and it was absolutely perfect. Her work is not cheap but not unreasonable and I would never go anywhere else, especially when quality is the priority.

Emily always happy to see me.  I am a frequent customer.   She makes every effort to work with my sometimes tight schedule.  The fit is always exactly as expected.  I have been using for over a decade, and have never had any issues.   Probably not the absolute cheapest, but definitely worth the price.

I needed a pair of dress pants fitted in a very short time frame for a function that I was attending in approx. 2.5 days. Emily had indicated that the standard time frame was one week. but when asked was able to accommodate my request for a speedy turnaround. Your mileage may vary of course. She was very courteous during the fitting and, based on this experience, I would not hesitate to recommend Emily to anyone needing a tailor.

They took my hangers, those that I like. They returned my suits wrinkled. There are stains that weren't there before. They cut shorter than originally measured. It's a nightmare. I would never come back. They seemed like lovely people but they don't handle my service with care.  So sad about it.

We first went to another shop I had used once before with okay results (lesson here - start with Angie's List) .  The person there first commented that she didn't see why we wanted to make alterations (i.e. it fit okay), then said there wasn't enough room to take in the bodice, then told us we should just get a smaller size, and finally said it would be "very very" expensive to hem the dress because of the multiple chiffon layers.  During this time she marked the proposed changes with a couple of safety pins and estimated the cost, which was not unreasonable.  However I had concerns that she really didn't understand (or care about) what we wanted, and one look at my daughter's face confirmed my decision to go elsewhere.  It was simply a negative, stressful experience and she was now worried about the expense.  In my view, we had gotten a great price on the dress and I was willing to pay for the tailoring that would make it perfect for my daughter - but I wanted it to be just that - perfect.
We left and I pulled up Angie's List and found some reviews on Medlock Alterations that seemed to demonstrate expertise and attention to quality.  Right away we knew this was a better choice.  The owner was great to deal with; she listened carefully to our request, asked some clarifying questions and did a careful fitting session.  She realized the bodice was a bit long for my daughter and suggested taking it in at the shoulder seams as well as the side seams.  This minimized the need for re-seating the skirt around the tightened bodice .  She carefully pinned the proposed change and the difference was amazing.  For hemming the skirt layers, she pulled out one of those old-fashioned floor-stand markers that measure distance from the ground and mark the desired height with an airpuff marker.  Working in a 360 circuit around my daughter, who had her prom shoes on, she marked and pinned the exact height all around so front back sides, etc., all floated at same exact point from the ground.  Took more time than inserting a single safety pin but obviously much better results!  The price she quoted was slightly more than the earlier shop, but it included the additional work to lift the bodice which clearly enhanced the fit.  The dress was ready on the date promised (approximately 1 week).  The work was beautifully done and the dress now fitted my daughter perfectly.  The best confirmation was the look in her eyes when she saw herself in the mirror.  I will definitely bring any future tailoring needs here!

Anyhow they don't actually do the reweaving on site so it took a little longer than I expected, however the work was pretty decent.

On Saturday, 8/3/13, I went to Medlock Alterations to request if they could duplicate a favorite pair of pants.  They said they could if I would provide the material and zipper.  While they said they would not make a pattern from the pants, they would use the favorite pair of pants as a template.  On Monday, 8/5/13, I returned to the store with the material and zipper.  They said it would be 10-14 days for the turn around.  I asked if there was any way I could get the pants back on Friday, 8/9/13, as I would need them the following week.  They said they would try.  On Friday, 8/9/13, my custom pair of pants was ready and I was pleasantly surprised that they were an exact duplicate.  The quality of work was excellent.  They did say in the future it would be 10-14 days for the turn around and I said I understood and was very grateful they could accommodate me this first time.  I will definitely go back and have already purchased the material for more pants to be made.

We went to Medlock Alterations after finding that it had a high rating on many review sites including Angie's list.  It was a great
experience.  We had several pants and dress jackets altered.  We weren't expecting the pricing to be so high, but she did fantastic work.  We were really happy with the results.

I bought an unaltered men's suit. The jacket was too broad in the shoulders and waist, and too long in the sleeves. The pants were not hemmed. Emily welcomed me to her place while with another customer. She saved time by having me use one of the two dressing rooms to put on the suit while with the other customer, but only after making sure I had a dress shirt and dress shoes so the fitting would be correct. She said the sleeves would come up to the proper length when the shoulders were brought in. She recommended a cuff in the pants as an alteration that would last through all fashion trends. While she would have done it faster, her turnaround for the work was one week, with no payment until pickup. Upon pickup, she made sure I tried it on and approved of everything. It was perfect. And looking at the suit, you can't tell any alterations were made.

My best friend referred me to Emily, and I am soooo GLAD to find the best seamstress! After this gown, I brought in more things to alter, like my pants, suits, blouses.... everything is perfect again! I am her loyal fan, and will be back again and again!
