I have been going there for about 15 years. They are excellent. They are very nice and professional. They keep doing a good job and I keep going back. They are more than responsive.

I recently relocated to the area, and did not yet have a vet when my older male cat began sneezing frequently, expelling discolored snot, having difficulty breathing (short, shallow breaths), and acting generally lethargic and and quot;punyand quot;. After asking several people for recommendations and communicating with my previous vet, I chose to take my cat to Shannon Vet Services. The practice is served by 5 different licensed veterinarians (you can request a specific one, which I did not do). I was able to get a next-day appointment, and was ushered into a private examination room immediately upon arrival. The vet tech (Nicki) was very personable, and handled my and quot;grumpy old manand quot; with excellent care. We waited for roughly 10-15 minutes, which was to be expected in any medical facility. The vet who tended to my cat's needs was professional, personable, and attentive to both the cat and my concerns. She was forthcoming, and diagnosed what I (as informed by my previous vet) suspected: an upper respiratory infection. The treatment plan was appropriate and reasonable; antibiotics (an injection followed by a prescription/pill). The cost was shockingly fair; I had been spoiled by having a previous vet who charged far less than any other vet I'd ever heard of, and Shannon Vet Services was on par with what he would have charged. The vet we saw even called the next day to check on him, and asked me to text her on her private cell phone number the following day and quot;just to be sure.and quot; When checking out, the desk attendent was abrupt and visibly bothered that I interrupted what was very obviously a private telephone conversation. In the process of this interaction, the original vet tech took over the transaction swiftly and on her own accord (which upset the already grumpy attendent, but was greatly appreciated by me).
I was so impressed, I scheduled a visit for the following week to have one of my two dog's vaccinated in preparation for boarding while we're on vacation. We scheduled an appointment and again, did not specify a vet. On the second visit, a week later, we waited for more than an hour before someone was available to give the routine vaccine. The vet who helped us was not the same as the first, but her quality of care was still outstanding and the price was again, impressively reasonable. Once again, I experienced less-that-average care from the desk attendent, but I feel it fair to note that both appointments were at 4 p.m., and given the volume of patients coming and going, this is a high-traffic vet. I was upset that even after making an appointment, I had to sit in the general waiting room for more than an hour before anyone checked on us and moved us into an examination room. It was an additional 40 minutes in the waiting room before we saw a vet, but once in the room, we were visited by a friendly and caring vet tech multiple times.
