I hired Healan to fence in my front yard during the Fall of 2007. The fence itself was fine (at first), but the front gate has never worked right. It is simply too heavy for the hinges, and it sags. Tim, who is a pretty decent guy, came out to "fix" the gate multiple times, but it always sagged again within a day or two. At least we were past the "sagging and swinging open" stage, which is the worst, to the "sagging and digging into the ground" stage, which necessitates lifting the gate out of the dirt in order to open or close it. The latch is useless at this point. The gate alone cost $300. Yes, it is a bigger gate than normal. But it has to be big enough to get a lawn mower through. Surely there is a way to figure out how to make the gate lighter, or make the hardware and post stronger, in order to make this work right. After several visits to fix the issue, and a request from me for a partial refund (which never happened) for my trouble, I decided giving up. Recently, however, the gate that never worked is now coming off the hinges. This is in addition to several boards which have rotted through completely. The board dry rot may be normal for a fence that isn't painted or treated, although complete disintegration within just two years seems extreme. It will be Spring soon, and the person who takes care of my yard will need to use the gate to get in. When that happens, the gate will likely fall off the hinges, and I'll have to pay someone to replace the gate just to keep my dogs inside my yard. I called Tim Healan yet again and asked him if Healan Fencing would do anything to help me. He said he would ask his father about it. This was at least three weeks ago. I've called a second time, left a message with Tim's son, but still no call back from Tim. All I want from them is a gate that works.
Description of Work: Healan installed a wooden fence in my front yard, with two gates. One wide enough for a lawn mower, one narrow one leading to my front porch.
