Customers say: Quality work

"Every aspect of this project flowed beautifully. Thomas responded to my initial inquiry within 24 hours. I received a quote for services shortly thereafter. Thomas responded to my texts the same day. Installation was seamless and the ground area around the fence was left as it was found. The final product is stunning! Thank you Thomas for your excellent service and commitment to detail."

"Montoya's redid part of a tile shower that had just been tiled for me by another construction company. The first company did a terrible job and it was not usable. His men did excellent work. Their knowledge of bathroom construction and renovation is exceptional. They were courteous and cleaned up after each day's work. I will hire them again."

"Heavy D's Welding replaced our wooden balusters with solid iron balusters we had already purchased. Each baluster also had a top and bottom "shoe". All total, there were 149 balusters and Drandy did a beautiful job installing each and every one. He's patient and kind and works hard to do a good job. He worked for three ten-hour days and then finished the project early on the last morning. He's honest, capable and keeps a neet work place. His prices are very reasonable. We will be hiring him to weld and install and outside gate sometime over the next 12 months."

Welding questions, answered by experts

This all depends on the tools you have on hand and whether you’re trying to cut a straight line or shapes.

The best tool to use for straight lines is either a circular saw or table saw. When cutting shapes, a jigsaw will be the easiest and most precise tool to use.

It will likely take an experienced pro less than an hour to install a ground rod, which is another reason why letting them handle the job is such a good idea. Safety concerns aside, it would likely take you much longer to install a ground rod if you decided to take this one as a DIY job.

Choosing the right metal fabricator for your project begins with research. Find a reputable fabrication company by searching for reputable contractors in your area, and then reviewing photos of their previous work, customer reviews, and photos of the company’s workshop.

Once you’ve narrowed down the list, contact the companies to ask about the types of metal fabrication projects they specialize and inquire about guarantees and warranties on workmanship. You should also ensure the company uses high-quality material, and ask about the schedule and turnaround time for your proposed project.

Cutting rectangular ductwork requires careful measurements and the right technique. Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the cutting lines accurately. Tin snips are excellent for straight cuts on smaller ducts. For more extensive or thicker rectangular ducts, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade is effective.

Ensure the duct is well-supported and secure while cutting to prevent wobbling and maintain precision. After cutting, use a metal file to smooth any sharp edges, ensuring safety during installation.

Sawing your hot tub into more manageable chunks so it can be lifted easily into a truck takes several hours. Generally, 2.5 hours for smaller hot tubs and around 4 hours for larger ones with the help of one to two people. If money isn't a concern and you want to skip the physical labor, you can hire a pro to get the job done.
