mr. alex Penaflor knew we were waiting to get our loan from my husbands retirement plan. He started to do the job knowing we had not received our check, and kept demanding for half the amount due. When we did receive the check, he was in the Bahamas, so I deposited 2000 more then half the amount due in his checking account, as he had not finished the wall. He wanted me to deposit it in cash, but I knew better and deposited a check. Approximately two weeks later, Brian who worked for Stovall & Co., inc. which furnished the materials, came to our property to check the work. We then were told that Alex had given them a check that was returned for non-sufficient amount and that they could not get in touch with him. I called Alex and he assured me that he would pay for the materials. Brian kept in touch with my husband and we were told that if Alex did not pay, a lien would be put on our house. We were shocked! We called Alex and asked what he did with the money we paid him. He told us that his brother who lives in Mexico was shot and that he had to send the $6000.00 we paid him to Mexico. During all this we had two pallets of the stones left over that could have been sent back to Stovall to be credited to us $1200.00. Alex did not. He used these stones on another job he had. So he got paid twice for those stones, and still had not paid for the materials. I have called, text, everything and he has ignored me. since then a lein has been put on our house. I have text him a million times and finally he called and stated that he would pay. He gave my my husband a check for $3000.00 to pay stovall. we mailed it and discovered that another $400.00 was due because of lein fees and interest. Brian from Stovall said Alex knew this because Brian had told Alex the total amount due. it is October and Alex has not paid the $400.00. the lein is still in affect. DO NOT USE THIS MAN! this has been the worst experience that my husband and I have lived through. it is not a good feeling being robbed. Alex is a thief and a LIAR!
