Not good at all- a year later and we have leaks and water coming in through nail holes. Looking at months of rehab on the house to dry it out and fix the holes and finally will be able to close up walls in the spring. They also have no record of our payment or the insurance payments and were just asking me for money due to not doing their paperwork a year ago. Insult to injury.

Professionally they were not very good with 1) starting our job in a timely fashion 2) had to have them come out twice to get a quote on the job 3) didn't do job when they had stated they would do it repeatedly- was scheduled 3 times before they actually did the job.

I was really disappointed in this company. The project manager blamed mistakes and miscommunications on the women in the office, me, a colleague, and the sub-contractors, but never took responsibility. When things went wrong, like the paint on the trim being the wrong color, or no one showing up as anticipated, the project manager was dismissive. He said it "wasn't a big deal," told me how this was a small job for them, and even laughed when I showed him of our brown-but-should-be-white trim. Working with Global Restoration was a hassle from the start. The initial estimate surprised me because it was only for fixing the two panels that were visible deteriorating, even though boards beneath those were soft as well. That estimate also gave a single dollar amount for "siding repair." I had to ask for a more detailed breakdown. I was given four estimated start dates, and the first three came with no one showing up, and no one calling to let me know or reschedule. I had to contact them when no one showed, and getting a straight answer was challenging. The project manager blamed the women in the office ("They shouldn't have told you that," "They don't know what we do out here in the field"), me ("Where did you get that someone was supposed to come yesterday?"), and otherwise deferred responsibility (I got a text saying, "I tried to call ya" though I had no voice mails, no missed calls...). They told me initially that the drywall would have to be replaced to resolve mold issues. I trusted them, until two other companies said the mold could be killed and cleaned off without replacing the drywall. When I asked about that option I was told they COULD write an estimate for killing/cleaning the mold rather than replacing the drywall. When I didn't get that estimate, and asked why, they then told me would NOT write an estimate for that because it wasn't up to their standard. When work began, they decided they COULD do that after all. The project manager blamed this back-and-forth on his colleague ("He's new, he's a 27-year-old kid.") I felt they changed their minds based on whether the money or completing the job was their priority. When I was due a credit for the drywall not being replaced, the dollar amount didn't make sense to me. I asked for a breakdown to show how that number was arrived at, and shared my own math based on the estimate they gave me. What should have been a simple check of addition instead took multiple emails back and forth. I kept asking for a simple breakdown of how their credit was figured, and not getting a straight answer. Eventually the project manager called to explain to me how the credit was figured...and the sum equaled the number I initially arrived at. He didn't apologize, or agree that I was correct. Instead he said, "[The woman in the office] isn't very good with--. Her math was wrong." The project manager talked to me face-to-fact about someone coming to paint, and the same day he sent me a text telling me when that person would show up the next day, and I confirmed. Then, again, no one showed up. The project manager's explanation for this was that his colleague said that our siding wasn't being painted. I pointed out that (1) he talked to ME about it, in person and via text, the very day before, (2) not painting was a possibility I had discussed with his colleague months prior, and (3) instead of calling to clarify, just no one showed up. The work itself, both siding and exterior painting, were done by sub-contractors, not Global Restoration. The work itself seems fine at this point. The sub-contractors who did the siding and gutter work left cigarette butts and nails on the patio, and stopped addressing me when my father showed up. They referred to me in the third person when I was standing right there. (I'm a woman, and the homeowner and the one paying the bill.) The painter the sub-contracted was very professional and left no trace of his work. The women I talked to in the office were also very responsive and helpful. At best, Global Restoration is understaffed and unpolished in customer service. As time went on (and this 2-day project took months), though, I felt they were dishonest and unprofessional. They're human and can make mistakes like all of us, but they made so many, and the project manager deferred responsibility for every one.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this company and I have used them many times.  I have never had any issues working with Global Builders and the owner, Jonathan Schooler, the Global Mitigation, and rebuild teams are always friendly and easy to work with.  They work around your schedule and are there when they say they will be.  This is so helpful with working families.

Most recently, after we had some bad rain storms, I came to find our basement ceiling and wall were leaking and causing a mold issue.  I called Global Restoration to see if they could come out and help me.  Knowing they would probably be very busy and backed up with the weather we have been having, I was scared they wouldn't have the time or it would be months before they could help.  To my surprise, Jonathan was able to get his team out to my house that same week!  They removed the drywall, treated the mold, and fixed everything that needed to be.  They even purified the air for days longer than necessary to be sure my family was safe and our daughter could play in the basement again.  They take care of their customers and are always willing to listen to your concerns and talk about potential solutions without breaking the bank.  Prices are very fair.  I have, and always will, recommend them to anyone needing help.  They will take care of you and your family!

They did an excellent job and did really great work. They were more than willing to address any issues I had. The only complaints I have was that it took awhile to get completed and that they were hesitant in pointing out any defects in workmanship or issues and not preemptively telling me something was wrong before there was already a problem. They started work in July and it wasn't finished until November. My roof ended up leaking because I wasn't told about a piece that needed to be replaced when they first redid the roof and siding. I told them I was more than willing to pay extra for anything that wasn't covered by insurance but they still didn't point it out.

We felt very fortunate that this service provider was as responsive as humanly possible. The service coordinator was young and energetic and always available to us.   On occasion the work teams seemed to be in the way of each other but somehow everything seemed to work out.   The mess left by the plaster team was awful but the team and the Global reps cleaned every last smudge.  Ultimately, our home was completely repaired and we were completely satisfied.

Very mixed review.  i contracted with them for a new roof in August 2013, it was done in September 2014.  Stephen was the initial rep who handled the contract.  There were numerous delays due to what he reported were:  issues with shingle supply, mix up with roofer dates or times he was out of town "just didn't get to it".  He assured me he had the permits required for Victorian Village and on one occasion the roofers actually showed up but the shingles "didn't come" so they left.  This spring i called again and there were similar delays per Stephen including rain (reasonable), singles (?), etc.  Finally he told me the permit had expired after a year and the Victorian Village Historial Society was hassling him about the type of shingles. I called the Historial Society myself to see what the issues were and found there was no application nor any issued appropriateness permit/certificate; he had lied to me.  I called the office (probably 25 times in the entire process) and got re assigned to a new project manager, Kevin.
Once Kevin was involved things went very well.  He got the permits and the roofers did a nice job as they had to replace all the decking.  I have no complaints about Kevin or the roofer team.
The entire time of delays with Stephen, there was also a total lack of communication.  He never called when he was supposed to update me and if I didn't call the office things did not get done.  I am still stunned by his blatant lies. I wonder what would have happened if the roofer had actually done work when they showed up (no shingles day) with no permits in place?
So depends upon who you get with this company as your representative.  Professionalism is not very good. At the end they refuted that he "lied" to me, "miscommunication" and gave me $250.00 off and $8,000 job.

This company was recommended by nationwide Insurance due to an insurance claim.  We live out of state so all communication was done via phone and email.  Global Restoration did all of the work, were very good at communicating recommendations, status and answering any questions.  We saw the finished product after they were done and we came into town for a stay.  Quality of work was satisfactory.  We do need to follow-up with them on some touch-up paint spots.  Also, we had to do a good deal of cleaning after the job was done - dust pretty much everywhere.

They did the estimate and I submitted it to the insurance company. They approved the roof and Global Restoration set a date for the replacement. My roof is small covering a 1000 sq. ft. house so they came around noon and was gone by 6pm. They were fast and the clean up was good.

I had gotten an estimate in early spring of 2010 the first time that water leaked in.  It hadn't leaked until the following fall, so we had neglected to get it repaired.  Once it started happening again though, it was a slight effort to get them to come back out to re-review it for an updated estimate.  Once they came back, we got an updated estimate and got a rough ETA on when it would be done.
Since it was winter by now, the work couldn't be done until February of 2011.  The work was subcontracted out.  They were very professional.  They went so far as to replace a few other pieces of siding that were splitting or damaged by wood peckers.
The side of the house looked great afterward, and the leak was properly fixed.

Did a nice job. There was a gutter they had to move to get to part of the roof. They did not place the gutter back in place. We ended up hiring someone someone else for the gutters.

Project took approximately 2 and a half weeks. Containment walls had to be put in place in all rooms while the drywall and ceilings were torn out where mold had developed. Microbial growth was removed from wood surfaces and painted and sealed with microbial paint. Drywall & insulation was replaced. Sofilts were taken down and new openings created for airflow to attic space. Roof vents were installed at crowns on roof. After containment walls were removed the entire interior of house was painted. Workers were prompt, polite and very professional. They were very accomidating to our needs to maintain some liveable space during the project. Workers would go beyond the contract to assist us with minor problems associated with the inconvenience created by having the entire inside of the house being remediated. They moved all of the furniture, drapes, curtains, etc. and replaced everything to its previous location upon completing the job. I would definitely use this company again and refer them to anyone needing these kinds of services. They started the project on time and completed it on time.

Global Builders was rated well on Angie's List, so we asked them for an estimate on repairs to our roof. They schedule the inspection for three days after the initial phone call. They found significantly more damage than expected and ultimately recommended the entire roof be replaced. To back-up this claim, they took multiple pictures of the damage. They came back on-site when the insurance adjuster completed his investigation and negotiated with the insurance company regarding the price. They scheduled the repair for two days after the insurance paperwork was complete which was much quicker than expected. They showed up on time, completed the job in one day and cleaned up after themselves. A couple days after the work was complete, a project manager came to the house to inspect the work. He made a few small modifications, repaired a downspout that was broken by the workers and helped to resolve a slow draining gutter (this was not caused by anyone from Global Builders). In all, Global Builders was timely, responsive, knowledgable and personable throughout the entire process. They were also very good at cleaning up when they were done. I have only found one nail in the yard!

The company representative was soliciting in the neighborhood and stopped by with literature. The company I had been using before Global Builders was slow to respond and didn't return my phone calls. Global Builders immediately followed through, prepared an estimate and worked directly with my insurance company. Although I had to wait for the work due to increased demand and weather conditions, Global Builders called me to give me updates. After my roof was replaced in December 2008, Global Builders both called and visited to ensure the work was done to my satisfaction. I was truly impressed with both the work and the customer service from Global Builders.

JIM SENT A CREW OF 2 TO DO THIS JOB. THEY WORKED SLOWLY AND DELIBERATELY, AND THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK AND MATERIALS IS SUPERIOR. IT LOOKS LIKE A NEW HOUSE. WATCHING THEM WORK WAS VALUABLE BECAUSE I GOT TO SEE FIRST-HAND WHAT WENT INTO THIS JOB. THEY DIDN'T TRY TO TAKE SHORT CUTS. THEY WERE PUNCTUAL EVERYDAY ON OR BEFORE 8:00 AM EXCEPT FOR THE DAYS WHEN THE WEATHER WAS UNPREDICTABLE. THEIR CLEAN-UP WAS SUPERIOR. FROM A MATERIAL STAND POINT WASTE WAS MINIMIZED. THE ORDER OF MATERIAL WAS VIRTUALLY EXACT; AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETED THERE WERE 2 10 FT SECTIONS OF SIDING LEFT OVER.
