"Hi [Member Name Removed], Unfortunately in the industry that we work in you just can NOT please everyone. Sometimes relationships simply do not work, especially when it comes to business. Differences in opinions and people attempting to be professionals over the professionals that were hired prove to make jobs difficult and can end with both parties having a negative view of the other. When an original estimate is given it is typically understood that it is an estimate and not an exact figure, as in the case of your cabin in particular, where mold was found, which is very costly to combat as you now know. Constantly changing and adding upgrades will not only drag a project out, but it will also make the job cost more, which you hopefully also understand. GARCP did in fact make multiple attempts to correct your project and get it turned around, however , some people simply can not be pleased and are too impatient to allow a turn around to happen. It should be noted that this homeowner who lives in FL and owns a cabin in Ellijay, terminated us from this job during an ice storm, when the roads were closed and there was no access to their cabin to get any work done, when only punch out remained. It should also be noted that a contract was signed by this homeowner agreeing to pay $94K, a mold contract in the amount of $15K (rounded), multiple change orders in various amounts also signed by the homeowner. They were also made aware that any change orders needed to be paid in order to keep delays from happening, however, any time a change order was sent it was suddenly an issue to get paid. GARCP had an unfortunate run of project managers who could not handle their work load and in turn took that out on GARCP and slandered our name to customers trying to wreak havoc. This project is one that suffered because of that along with gossiping instead of coming straight to us to make it right. Often times when someone forms an opinion of someone based on someone else stating something negative, its very hard to change that opinion. -Whit"
