Doors (Exterior) - Install or Replace
Out over $4,500 between 3 days of labor to improperly hang 2 sets of French doors, and close in a garage opening with a door and window. They ordered all the incorrect doors, and siding for my house that cost me over $1,000 to special order only for it to arrive and be completely wrong and not able to be returned.. They screwed the doors in place from the outside leaving the screw heads exposed and when I questioned them looking crooked the first day they somehow managed to make it even worse the second day. They kept telling me my wall was crooked and I needed to layer trim pieces and just fill it in. The labor quote was 3 times what it cost me to have a new contractor come in and literally rip out everything they did and get it properly done in ONE day vs the over week it was going to take them to do it wrong. Miraculously my walls straightened up when the new contractors reinstalled the doors properly. And I still want a refund for all the incorrect materials ordered but I am sure I will never see that.

"THIS CUSTOMER WAS VERY NICE AND WE BUILT A GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIP. THERE WERE 2 PROJECTS REQUESTED. THE FIRST WAS CLOSING OFF A GARAGE OPENING AND WE COMPLETED IT RIGHT AWAY. SHE WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK. THE SECOND WAS INSTALLATION OF FRENCH DOORS. WHEN WE REMOVED THE EXISTING DOORS, WE FOUND A ROTTED SILLPLATE AND HOUSE SETTLING WHICH WE SHOWED HER THE PROBLEM TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS UPFRONT AND UNDERSTOOD.ONE DAY INTO THE PROJECT SHE CALLED IN THE EVENING AND TOLD ME THAT SHE DECIDED TO HAVE SOMEONE ELSE DO IT, THAT WE HAD DONE IT WRONG. WE NOTICED THAT HER DECISION MAKING WAS BEING INFLENCED BY OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS THAT WANTED TO DO THE WORK BUT SHE HAD CALLED US INSTEAD AND THEN EVERYTRHING CHANGED. SHE SAID IN THE REVIEW THAT SAHE DID NOT GET A REFUND BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE. WE CAME TO AN AGREEMENT ABOUT THE WORK THAT HAD BEEN DONE AND I GAVE HER THE MONEY BACK THAT SHE GAVE ME I TEATED HER WITH RESPECT BUT WAS NOT GIVEN THE SAME COURTESY. I HAVE NEVER HAD A CUSTOMER TREAT ME THIS WAY. AS YOU WILL SEE IN MY OTHER REVIEWS THAT MY WORK IS QUALITY WITH ATTENTION TO DETAIL."

Mike remodeled two bathrooms for us and we love how they came out. He and his crew were courteous, clean and careful. Good work ethic and quality. They truly take pride in the work they do. He also built two beautiful redwood gates for our backyard entrances and played a major role in a landscaping project. Mike is a nice, fair guy with a heart of gold.
