The Rekal Company is a supplier of Eze-Breeze DIY vinyl windows. These windows use clear vinyl instead of glass, and cost a small fraction of glass. They're metal framed with screens included, replace your current screening, and are custom fit to your openings - you supply the measurements - really easy to do. The windows come pre-assembled and fit perfectly inside your openings. The Eze-Breeze website shows you how to do everything.
A local contractor in Charleston, SC wanted almost $11,000 to do the work that I did in two days, by myself, and I've never done anything like this before. My nine windows (avg. 76" X 39") cost $2,240 dollars including shipping, from the Rekal Company in Georgia. Ms. Krista at Rekal made everything work just wonderfully. Watch their website videos - if I can do it, so can you. Although there's no insulating improvement, Eze-Breeze DIY windows have changed my screened porch to an enclosed porch - no more dust and pollen, etc.
