Excellent and professional job

Excellent quality and craftsmanship. Very sturdy and durable porch holding a bar and hot tub. Happy with how it turned out and the space we now have for entertaining.

Sumlin construction completed the addition on our home. We are extremely pleased with emphasis on craftsmanship, integrity, thoroughness, and final results. We highly recommend Sumlin Construction and have already referred to friends and family!

We hired Harrison to put in a new fence in our backyard to enclose our property, he not only did a great job with the fence but he was very good at communicating with us when he would be by doing the work, leaving, or if something had came up. Would definitely rehire.

The Sumlinco. owner suggested closing in my porch which I thought was a good idea. He had one guy come out to do most all the work. If you are far away it looks good. The existing trim is mitered but he did ALL the new trim with straight lines and they are not even and doesn't match the rest of the house. Put in 2 glass sliding doors and moved an existing one to the porch. One he had fix because it didn't lock and then I had to get my neighbor to come and fix the other door so it would lock. The glass sliding doors are metal and they had painted part of it. I had to clean off the paint. Why would you even paint that door? Caulking was their go to to hide nails etc. but I still saw them. They did cut them off. He had a lot of miss fires with the nail gun and one was sticking out of my deck and I cut my foot. Built a new shelf which was to be bigger and better than the one they had to tear down... NOT! it was cheaply made. Mr. Sumlin came back and tried to fix it but he cut the wood the same size that I said was to small. It is pieced in the back and uneven on the side. He did not paint it. They are sloppy painters, at least at my house. Took a while for him to come and clean up the mess and all of it is not cleaned up. Porch he painted needs a second coat, got paint on places that the paint shouldn't have been that close to. Put up the wrong type of screen. I wanted pet screen put up but I think he just had some screen from another project and used it. The screen was put up before painting the wood so of course now I have paint on my screen. The trim they put on my porch was cut to large and it is not a snug fit. Lets just end this by saying I am not happy with the outcome of my porch. What they did is not worth the money he charged me. When I complained about this or that not being done right he told me I was making him lose money. He makes himself lose money by not doing the jobs right in the first place. He is very apologetic but that doesn't make my porch look better. He said he made some mistakes, well he needs to pay for his mistakes and give me what I paid for. He didn't show up when he said he was. It was always tomorrow and tomorrow never comes . He would have an excuse but all I wanted was a simple phone call to let me know he wasn't showing up. As of this day I still need work done on my porch to get it like it should be. I don't know who did the work on the pictures he shows but the work on my porch looks nothing like the work done on those houses. I thought his outline of the experience, know how etc. sounded very good and just what I was looking for is why I hired him. Things always look better on paper. I told him about my prior experience with another company and he assured me he would not do that to me... Well guess what ... yes guys, he did the same thing they did. Did not complete the job nor to my satisfaction. I showed him where a piece of wood was broken instead of being cut and he said he could fix it but he didn't. He said he did the best he could with what he was dealt. Dealt what? If he couldn't do the job or have the right worker or workers then he should have turned down the job but no, he just wanted/needed money. Mistake on my part was paying him all his money. He may be a nice guy but being nice doesn't make my porch look good. I DO NOT recommend The Sumlinco at all. Not even to build a bird house.

Harrison did a great job. Always very responsive to calls and emails as well.

Built a piano bar for me. Went fantastic. Very communicative, did an excellent job at a fair price. Already plans in place to use him again.

Mr. Sumlin was very patient and professional. He listened and always answered all my questions. He was very responsive. He did extra projects along the way and always made sure to check in with me. The work he and his crew did was excellent and I am already planning on hiring him again.

I hired SumlinCo to remodel my deck and add a sunroom. The femoral they did is truly incredible. Clear communication and professional services. Would highly recommend.

Harrison and his crew were wonderful and helpful! We hired Harrison after a broad search for contractors and we found him to be the most professional and had fair pricing. We had a lot of work to be done, but he helped prioritize projects so as to not overwhelm our home during the construction! He was timely and communicated any pricing changes (materials have gone up - no fault to him) and made sure we were comfortable and in the loop on progress. Our new kitchen and bathroom are gorgeous and we’re thrilled with our service!
