Avalon Pools

Avalon Pools did a fantastic job! Our swimming pool adds beauty and enjoyment to our yard. Curt's design was creative and unique, and really took our yard and the style of our home and landscaping into account to make everything flow nicely together. We had four other pool contractors give us proposals, and Avalon Pools' design was head-and-shoulders above the rest. Throughout the process, they worked with our existing landscaping and cooperated with our landscaper to remove and preserve mature shrubs and small trees. They made good suggestions on how to keep costs in line while still giving us a high quality product. They ran into some unexpected challenges in our yard (we had not realized, for example, that many years ago, there had been a pool in our back yard and someone had filled it in. All that concrete from the previous pool was an unexpected surprise.). Each time, they adapted their design, informed me of the changes, and found ways to make things work within the original budget. The adaptations to the design throughout the process ended up making a great design even better.
While we hired them specifically to put in the pool, Curt and his team gave us great advice on a number of yard-related things. They helped us identify other opportunities that the construction presented -- from smaller items like landscape lighting, additional electrical outlets and new hose hook-ups, to larger ideas like the creation of an additional flat play surface in our hilly yard. One of their electricians even gave me advice on a broken oven -- definitely above and beyond the call of duty!
The reason I rated them a B in punctuality is because my pool was installed during one of the rainiest winters on record in Atlanta, and as a result, we had a lot of delays. Avalon Pools definitely can't control the weather, so that is no fault of theirs! But the project took longer than predicted. On the plus side, they kept me informed throughout the process, and followed through until everything was done. I think they handled the weather-related delays well.
Since the pool was completed, Avalon Pools has always been responsive when I have had a question. The only repair I've needed since installation was this summer's replacement of a 12-inch-square stone that covered a filter basket opening. A corner had chipped off the original stone and Avalon replaced it with matching stone. They do good work and I've enjoyed working with them.

Curt come in and measured our backyard, drew a wonderful drawing of the pool that he thought we would like.
We then decided to go with Avalon Pools after several visits from other pool companies. Avalon then permitted the
pool with the county. 2 weeks later they were digging the pool. Plumbing and steel went in next in a timely fashion.
Inspection was preformed by the county then they did the concrete.  After that came the rock and tile which really made the pool come together. It was beautiful. then Avalon proceeded with the deck and equipment. Finally came the plaster which we were
really excited for ,knowing that the water was coming next.  WOW!!! We were sooo happy!!!
