New Roof and gutters

Call Mr Hopson. He went by the property made a estimate as to what the cost would be and turned in a proposal . We called him back and gave him the go ahead to complete the work. He started the next day and completed the job in 2 days. We were satisfied with the work and would recommend Mr. Hopson in the future. This was a nice home in a good neighborhood so we felt isprice was in line with for this job.

Working with Hopson Home Improvement on a number of projects was a great experience. The first thing Mr. Hopson did for us was to repair several roof leaks. He was came out right away and inspected the roof, told us what repairs were needed and provided a reasonable estimate. He was back in a few days and completed the repairs--problem solved. After that we asked him to paint the inside of the house including trim, do sheetrock repairs, and paint the front and back doors.

Mr. Hopson performs quality work, uses good materials (for example, Sherwin Williams paint), all at a reasonable price. He returns calls promptly (he even called me while he was on vacation to let me know it would be a few days before he got the estimate together for the painting), provides written estimates and itemized bills. I was impressed that his crew was very professional, pleasant, and showed up on time. They were there every day until all work was completed. Mr. Hopson personally supervised all work.

We are so happy to have found Hopson Home Improvement through Angies list--they will be our "go to" for home maintenance projects--we plan to have him tile a bathroom floor next.

Work was done on time and as promised, no cost overruns, have had no leaks at all. Only problem was they did not get all of the roofing nails picked up, neither the old ones they tore off nor all of the new ones that got loose. I stepped on two, both requiring emergency room visits, one requiring surgery (still trying to recover from it). Definitely make sure they sweep all around the house with magnetic pickups at least twice. We are still finding roofing nails. Not sure how they swept for them originally but it looks like they were not very effective. Otherwise we are very happy with the work they did and the costs.

Mr. Hopson mailed us his quote very quickly after our first contact. He followed-up a week later to make sure we received it. Once we gave him the job he would not take any money up-front, but insisted we only pay after the work was completed to our satisfaction. The work was done quickly and his crew were very thorough both in the roofing and the clean-up. The roof looks great and after several strong rainstorms and a windstorm has not leaked at all. During the work Mr. Hopson and his crew were always very friendly, polite and respectful. He also mentioned he does general contract/repair work and asked us about replacing our windows. This is an item on our to-do list and we were impressed that—with all the other work we need done—Mr. Hopson noticed this one and picked it out. This will have the most impact on our energy use and will make an immediate improvement in the appearance of our home. This demonstrates to us that he actually knows how to help people instead of just making money off them.
