Part of my carport roof had split from a hard rain. These guys seamlessly repaired it and the soffit to look better than it did before the rain. Also they installed a storm door taking great care of the fitting.

Mike was very knowledgeable about his craft. He was able to repair about 6ft of exterior wall that had a window in the middle if it. It was completed in a single day and for the price that was agreed upon. I would definitely recommend him and will use him again.

Mike from All Type Home Improvements was great to work with. I had several other actually waterproofing companies that came out to look at my problem with water leaking in my basement and none of them took the time that Mike did to really investigate the cause properly but Mike. They were quoting me different fixes for thousands of dollars without even looking behind the drywall to access the cause of the leak. Mike access the problem very carefully and found the cause. He then explained to me in great detail the causes and proper fixes for them. He gave me a reasonable quote for the job, He also took the time to answer all of the questions my Wife had as well. I also liked the way Mike explained to me every day what he planned to accomplish that day. All Type Home Improvements did an AWESOME job. My Wife told me to make sure I used them for any other work we need to have done in the house. I would hire them again anytime!!!!

They did a very good job I would recommend them again the estimate called for 3 days he finished in 2 days and when he finished you couldn't even tell they were even here the last rain storm I had no water came in my basement so I'm a very happy customer. He even used his own money to finish the work to keep the water away from my house and didn't even charge me for it so I would recommend all type home improvement to anybody I talk to

It went very well. Mike was easy to work with, answered all my questions and offered great advice. He fixed my deck like it was his own. He completed it on time and always kept a clean work area. He gave me the best price after getting 6 estimates. I plan to use him on other projects. I highly recommend him.

The 1st visit was great. The 2nd (volleyball court) Michael added a "fuel surcharge" of 45.00 which he had not quoted, mentioned, or charged on his first job. Also, he bought a piece of equipment, charged us for it, and kept it. I called him and told him if I paid for it, it was mind. He did bring it to me, but now I have a piece of contractor equipment I have no need for.
Response from All Type Home Improvements
"Completely an unfair review. I was asked to make the first repairs which cost $500 labor plus the cost of materials. At completion of the work, I asked [member name remove] if it was to his satisfaction he stated he was "very happy" even over joyed by us being punctual as well as overall a great job. Four weeks passed, [member name remove] called me and asked if I could change out the boarder around the Volley ball court, to replace it with the same type of wood that was already there. We had already discussed the price on our fist meeting which was $450 plus materials. We made an appointment to meet the next evening which I had to reschedule and I did call. [member name remove] wanted the work done ASAP, but he travels out of town a lot for work and could not meet with me so he left money for me to pickup the materials. I went to his house that morning to write a material list and then went to Home Depot to purchase the 4x4 post to outline the volley ball court. 2 hours later when I got back to his house with the supplies at hand, [member name remove] wife was unhappy with the 4x4. She really wants the 6x6 instead. She asked if it would be a problem and I said no. She asked if it would cost more I said I'm not sure but it wouldn't be much. At that point [member name remove] told me she had to leave and she would not be back till later that night she thanked me for making the change and went on her way. Now being close to noon I had a lot of work to get done. I needed to reload the new post on to the truck and all the old ones that I pulled up. I drove to back to Home Depot returned the post. Then drove to the dump to unload the old post then again back to Home Depot to repurchase the 6x6 post. In all the job that was to take 2 guys 1 day took 2 days to complete. I did not charge extra for the time that I spent on the job only for the extra gas driving back and forth. (I'm thinking Home Depot delivery next time) As for the "piece of equipment" it was a 10" long 1/2" drill bit use to tie in the 6x6 to the ground with rebar its part of the materials cost and was more then happy to hand it over to [member name remove] as he requested. A few days later over the phone [member name remove] stated he was very happy with the work and wanted his drill bit back that he paid for and questioned why I charged him for gas I explained as above and set a time to drop off his drill bit. I did all that was asked of me no negative words were ever exchanged. I only charged what I thought was fair and honest."

On both occasions, Mr. Petrow arrived on time with all necessary tools and supplies. He worked quickly and professionally and the work was done to our satisfaction. The fact that I used his services twice is a testament to the quality of his work. If needed, I would employ him again.

Work was done quickly and efficiently. Door lock works perfectly. Additional advice on problems around house was very helpful. I have more work planned with Michael.

Michael Petrow came out and said this wouldn't be a simple job. I have french double doors and needed the weather stripping replaced and the threshold seals which required removing the molding and the doors. It took quite some time to finish the project. Michael came out right away spent almost 2 days on this project. His work was fine and he did spend alot of time doing this. He is very nice, courteous, and was here promptly. He did a great job of being neat and tidy and cleaned up afterwards great. I felt he may have been a little high on pricing but I really didn't spend alot of time getting other estimates. I do still see a small gap but not sure if that should be expected because the doors really should be replaced or not. Not sure if I would use again unless I had other estimates first and he did give me an estimate for some other things I would like to have done and so far according to others that I have received he is in the ballpark of estimates.

JOB #1- This job went well. Mr. Petrow could not find the channel to fit around the windows, but it was agreed that he could clean the old ones and use those. He did a very good job and within a couple of days, the windows were finished and the storm door was installed. He even evened out my doorway and painted a little around the storm door. I was very satisfied with this job.
JOB #2-
Mr. Petrow did the dry wall in my bedroom and bathroom as specified and in a good time range. The spackled look was larger than I had anticipated, but he assured me that this was because the original was done when the house was built and with a machine, which at this point would scatter the drywall thoughout the room and on my furniture, so all was OK. The job looked good overall, but you can tell where it begins and ends, which perhaps could not have been helped. Mr. Petrow did not paint the bathroom at this point, but said he would do it later as he was to do a few other things for me.
JOB #3-
Mr. Petrow picked up my gazebo and placed it over the deck. However, the gazebo was too large for the deck. Mr. Petrow had measured and had told me several times that it would fit. I had questioned him myself several times as the deck looked larger than the deck to me. So, the gazebo was moved aside (not disassembled, to assemble later, as I had been told would be done and had been charged for). The footerings were done and later, the gazebo moved for a second time to set onto the footerings. After this was done, Mr. Petrow let me know that one of the legs of the gazebo was crooked. He said that this had happened in the disassembly at the store or in moving it to my house. However, I felt that this had probably been done while moving the entire gazebo twice at the time of the footerings being placed or maybe in bending it somehow trying to get it to fit on the footerings. I was a little upset, but did not really voice this much to him. He did not explain this to me any further. I paid him what he said I owed him and he took off for the painting, which he assured me he would do when he returned to do a couple of other projects, which we had already discussed. Mr. Petrow told me he would be working on a large job for a few months and would call me later. I HAD HOPED HE WOULD RETURN AND PAINT THE BATHROOM AND DO A FEW OTHER JOBS THAT I HAD MENTIONED TO HIM AND THAT HE GAVE ME THE IMPRESSION THAT HE WOULD CALL ME ABOUT. ALL IN ALL, MY EXPERIENCE WITH MR. PETROW WAS FAIRLY GOOD. IT STARTED OUT BEING EVEN BETTER THAN THAT. HE WAS A VERY PRESENTABLE GENTLEMAN AND HIS WORK WAS VERY GOOD UNTIL THAT LAST TIME WTH THE GAZEBO. I DO NOT THINK THIS WAS ENTIRELY HIS FAULT, BUT HE NEVER DID LET ME KNOW EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GAZEBO LEG. I HAD BOUGHT IT MYSELF AND HAD SEEN IT AFTER ASSEMBLY AT HOME AND THE LEG WAS NOT BENT THEN. I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE HIM DO SOME MORE WORK FOR ME AND HOPE HIS COMPANY IS DOING WELL. I WAITED A WHILE TO DO THIS REVIEW, HOPING HE WOULD CALL ME ABOUT DOING THE OTHER JOBS THAT WERE LEFT HANGING WHEN HE FINISHED JOB #3.

Found Mike on Angieslist and afer a short call he came over and gave me a firm price on the project cost. Bright and early the next day he arrived and went straight to work. He not only built a solid staircase to code but helped level my sagging porch. He didn't waste any time with small talk and worked quickly. A great job on very short notice. Very happy with the results.
