The proposal said verbatim, "Remove large tree and repair fence left front corner. Remove debris to landfill $1150.00. Harry the owner met the insurance adjuster at my home to explain what needed to be done. The insurance company paid $3233.20 to have the limb cut, removed and the fenced repaired. It wasn't a tree but a very large tree limb. The limb was cut up and only half of the debris removed. I was told the rest of the debris couldn't be removed because it wasn't on my property so the insurance company hadn't paid for that. I had removed debris from this same tree that had fallen on the driveway and stacked it on adjoining property that I have keep cut and cleaned for 35 years because it belongs to my elderly uncle. The owner knew this when he wrote the proposal and told me he would remove it. After charging me $3233.20 for the limb I told him I would get other estimates on getting the fenced fixed. This is definitely insurance fraud as well as ripping me off. .
