This has truly been one of the most rip off contracting job I have experienced. I am a female veteran with 24 years of service, and Beau Ragsdale took full advantage of my lack of knowledge of roof installation. First, if you decide to do business with him, please check over your contract and make sure everything is checked off such as placing flashing on your roof to include the chimney. Ragsdale placed a very inexperienced crew to work on my home. They took many shortcuts. Throughout the entire process he was very dishonest. I was charged for plywood he did not replace. He purposely led me to believe that the shingles he was placing on my roof would last 50 years. There are numerous places where the shingles were not tied in correctly. 7 out of 10 places where flashing was needed he did not have flashings. Flashings are necessary for the integrity of any roofing job to prevent water damages. The air vent he replaced was of inferior quality and was replaced incorrectly, and lasted less than 90 days. These are only a few of the things Ragsdale did incorrectly with my roof. Bottom line is, Mr. Ragsdale knew I was an out of area Landlord, and there were to be no insurance inspection, therefore he took full advantage of the situation. I personally did not know that he did a poor job until my tenant who bought it to my attention 2 days after the completion of the roof. Subsequently, I have had over 6 contractors who all said the same thing "the roof has numerous things that are not completed to industry standards." I hired two professional roof inspectors and they both concluded that the roof was improperly installed in many places. I have taken Mr Ragsdale to arbitration and have won a judgement against him to repair some of the things he did wrong. Unfortunately, this does little for the integrity of my roof. Some contractors and the roof inspectors are telling me that my roof will not last long due to improper installation, not manufacture warranty. I'm writing this review to say, I would not ask you not to hire Mr. Ragsdale, but to say if you do, please do your homework. It is not worth the stress of having to wonder if your roof is installed correctly, and how long will it be before you start having problems with the roof due to shortcuts and improper installation. I am sure I am not the only roof that he has installed incorrectly, and I will not be the last. Whether it is insurance monies or like me your own monies, you deserve to have a properly installed roof. Finally, I would like to prepare you for what you will get from hiring Mr. Ragsdale...A very nice wonderful person up front, but when the monies are secured....a very disrespectful person to women as well as veterans, a dishonest and aggressive person (very aggressive to one of the female contractors and myself), and a hard time getting him to honor his 10 year warranty workmanship (he wanted me to pay extra for his mess ups). If you have the time to get him to do what he should do initially, or if you want to take a chance on getting a mediocre roof then go ahead!!! (like me you may not find out about his poor workmanship until its too late, and the insurance company would not pay because the inspectors will find out the poor quality of his work). They missed the start date for the project several times putting the projects months behind. He then admitted he underbid the job and needed to raise the price - which we did. They neglected to instal the roof vent for my range hood. After several calls and promises he would come out and fix they never did. I had to pay someone else to come out and do something I already paid for.

We were very satisfied with the work performed by Ragsdale Roofing and can definitely recommend them to anyone in need of this type of work. The crew arrived early each day and worked until almost dark. Ours is a fairly large roof which Mr. Ragsdale said would take three days. The crew actually finished in about 2 1/4 days. The employees were considerate of our property and cleaned up daily and at the conclusion of the job. The work they did was of high quality, and the price was fair. The crew made sure that the roof was protected each evening in the event of rain. We felt it was a very good job all around.

They were here to give me an estimate within 24 hours. The project was explained in detail, and they came on the day scheduled and completed it in a timely manner. It was bascially only one day. It makes the house look brand new.

once again Ragsdale Roofing out did themselves, I called on a Monday for a quote, Beau Ragsdale came the following day, gave me a price and said he would put me on his schedule. Friday of the same week his crew came, had to replace 17 boards on my workshop, also 4 2x8,s and the entire job was completed and cleaned up by 4:30 in the afternoon. This was the second time I used this company, and would highly recommend them .
