I had a circuit breaker that kept tripping, so I called Zapata's because they were the ones who initially wired the house (and did some switches incorrectly--but that's another issue that was resolved). The technician showed up and without even measuring current draw determined in about two minutes that the breaker was overloaded. Because the circuit included the front porch and foyer (something I didn't realize and a poor design IMO), I conceded that it *might* be overloaded with the Christmas lights, even though in the six years I've lived in the house it's never been a problem. After Christmas, I had the same problem and asked them to come back out. They wouldn't come out without charging me again, even after I explained that the problem still existed after I removed the supposed problem. They said they'd come out and if the technician was wrong before, they wouldn't charge me. Seriously??? What kind of self serving proposition is that? Of course he wouldn't be wrong! He was so cocksure the first time around and had little patience to speak with me (though he did have time to try to sell me a new line and breaker). I bought a current meter and tested it myself. I can't find any overload, though there is a laser printer that *could* be causing the breaker to trip because of its peak current draw, but that wasn't what the technician said. He blamed it on the Christmas lights and a generic overload condition. He was also kind of condescending, even after I told him I was an electronic engineer and know a little bit about electricity. I asked him if it could be the breaker itself. Nope! Not that. I won't be using Zapata's ever again. All they had to do was come out and look at the problem again without charging me. It wouldn't have taken five minutes because that's how long it took the first time. I think I was clear about the problem and that the diagnosis was hasty and presumptuous. It was a diagnosis, so it wasn't like I was trying to get something free. I just wanted it done properly.

They said they'd have to tear holes in drywall all the way up a two-story wall. I said no, never mind and they ended up changing the speed on one of the fans. Were at my house for about 10 minutes. Got a bill for $98.00! I called and told them they didn't do any work and they reduced it to $88.00. I don't believe I got $98.00 of service. Won't call them for any future work, that's for sure. The only reason I didn't give an F is because the guys who showed up were very nice. The problem's with the owner.

They sent a couple of guys out not too long after I called them. They were very personable and professional. It didn't take them long to finish the work and they consulted with me and explained things to me as they did it. A while after I had the work done, I noticed the outlets on my GFI circuit weren't working. I called and they sent them back out to see what the problem was. It was simply that one of the outlets needed to be reset after their work. I originally got a service call bill for this second visit, but after a quick call they told me to disregard it. I thought that was fair of them. I felt like they should have checked the outlets before they left, but they made it right. They were all around pleasant to deal with. Very kind people.

I live in Alabama and only have a couple of days in Augusta. Zapata made time in their busy schedule to come out quickly. They gave me an estimate very quickly and came back the same day to conduct the repairs. It was fast, friendly and professional. Their price was 1/3 less than a major competitor and done in such a timely fashion!

Took about 15 minutes. Took them 3 or 4 days to get to me, but that is OK since many other people had more pressing problems than I did.

They arrived on schedule, had all the necessary tools and materials, and |completed the work ahead of the estimated time. The final cost was well under the estimate.

One of Rob Zapata's Electric's master certified electricians showed up on time and in a very friendly manner repaired an electric meter box on the outside of my house. The repair required that the electrician call and coordinate with Georgia Power, to bring out a truck and cut the main power. He did all of the arranging with Georgia Power and completed the job in a professional manner. As he did the job, he explained to me what he was doing and why the part went bad over time. I was very pleased with the work and learned a lot about electricity in my house. Note that the charge was $100 but $25 was removed from the bill due to a special to their customers for their 25 years in business. How nice was that?

2 electricians called about 90 minutes before scheduled appointment. Said they had finished prior job early and wanted to come to our job if that was OK. We told them to come on. They arrived in about 15 minutes. First job involved diagnosis of problem with FanTec bathroom light and exhaust fan. Light worked all the time and fan worked intermittently. Fan/light was six years old and problem just started. They first checked the timer switch on the wall and found no problems. They then went up into the attic and found a separated wire in a junction box. They repaired the wiring and problem was solved. New fan'light combo would have cost $384 plus tax, so I was pleased that they found a simple solution to the problem.
We had just finished trapping 13 flying squirrels that had taken up residence in another part of our attic. I had the electricians inspect the wiring in the area where the squirrels had resided. They used a "snake camera" that I had recently purchased for my own use and inspected the wiring and found no problems. Entire job took slightly less than an hour.
They were very courteous and competent. Good job overall.

This was my first time to use them and I was very satisfied with them. They were very efficient and polite. Two people were at the house for 6 hours. It was very inexpensive considering two employees and the amount of time that they worked. I thought it was quite a bargain. They were 5 minutes early. Everything was "Ma'am," "No, ma'am." They wiped their feet every time they're in and out.

We completed a major outdoor landscaping project. Rob and his employees came up with the most innovative and practical plan for including the electrical in the landscaping project. They coordinated well with the contractor and subcontractors. The workers were very pleasant and responsive when we made a change on the fly. After the fact there was a minor modification we wanted and they came back promptly to resolve the issue. Additionally, when you call the office the staff are most helpful and knowledgeable. There were no surprises, up charges that we did not know about, and the work was done on time.

I don't particularly like him, not because of the work so much but because of his personality. The wiring they did was fine. I did the design, I was an electrical engineer. He did the install and they did a good job. I have a 5,000 sq ft house that they did the wiring in and the cost is based on that.

Arrived on time. Explained what they would be doing. Worked only stopping for lunch. Cleaned up.

His price was fair, seemed to really care for what they were doing and took care not to spoil anything in the house. He had installed the original wiring in the house when it was built. We had him come back to add additional plugs in the basement and install some lighting in the basement. I spent less than $500 on his last visit. They came when they were supposed to and did the work in a very timely manner. Their quality of work is excellent.
