"I was contacted on the same day I requested service. I was able to take pictures of my property and text them to the company, who responded the same day with an estimate that was 50% cheaper than everyone else we talked to. Service was excellent, the lawn looks great. We're hiring them again for a touch up service before we move."

"Normally we do our own lawn care but after surgery my husband needed to take some time off so we hired Marcus at Metro Lawn Pros to mow and trim our lawn. Put the emphasis on 'Pro'. Marcus did a great job, truly professional and conscientious. We are so glad we decided to hire him and are happy to recommend his services to anyone else looking for a reliable, conscientious and quality lawn moving service. We are definitely having him come back :-)."

"Chrissy and her crew go over and above to make it as easy as possible for the homeowner. They are like family through the process of Estate Sales. I could not have ever received the best customer service from anyone else. I really loved the way they handled my things with kid gloves. They get five for compassion and caring for my needs."

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

No, it's not really possible to completely prevent weed growth. Weeds are incredibly resilient—all they usually need is a tiny bit of dirt to sprout, so their eventual appearance is pretty much inevitable. However, you can definitely keep them at bay by getting rid of weeds as soon as you notice them. The longer you let them sit and grow roots, the more they'll spread.

Vinegar cannot tell the difference between weeds and desired grass types; it kills everything it touches. Only use a vinegar or vinegar-based solution if you are relatively confident that you can navigate around the plants and grasses you want to keep. Also, don’t spray vinegar on a windy day, or it will blow onto other plants.

Yes, if your home is poorly maintained and has weeds and overgrowth, it can affect your home appraisal and lower the value. Home buyers want to see a well-kept home, and if yours lacks curb appeal whether inundated by weeds or not, you could be neglecting the potential for it to reach its full value.

It’s not legal to intentionally damage a neighbor’s tree. Even if the roots of a tree encroach into your yard, if you damage or kill a tree that belongs to your neighbor, you can be held liable for the damage in most cases. Since herbicides can spread through the tree, causing damage to the whole tree and not just the roots that are on your side of the property line, you shouldn’t poison your neighbor’s tree. The other downside to this method is that if the tree dies, it can fall onto your property and cause more damage, so herbicides are best avoided in this circumstance.

Each type of weed comes with its own control methods, but stopping the seed spread is the first step. Grazing, mowing, and hand pulling can slow the invasion. In some cases, selective herbicide is necessary to stop a persistent weed from overtaking an area.
