Excellent service all around, very flexible when scheduling, arrived at our destination a couple days ahead of schedule, and they were able to switch the schedule around to get us unloaded the very next morning. The guys that showed up were polite and friendly, hardworking, put everything exactly where we wanted. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat without question. Thanks for the phenomenal service!!!

We had a previous experience with Hewes Family Movers when we hired them to move our son from a rental into his first house. That experience was perfect, so we reached out again to move our daughter's items from a storage locker into her first house. Once again, a perfect moving experience. The two-man crew was on time at the storage locker, loaded everything within less than 2 hours, and transported it safely to the house before lunchtime. Another two hours to unload and help set up a few items (hook up dryer, etc.) and they were finished. You won't be disappointed if you choose Hewes Family Movers, but you may have trouble reaching them - they are very busy, and deserve to be!

Strong work ethic showed, wasting no time in completing the process. Obvious teamwork. Not the crew’s “first rodeo” together on a job! Highly recommend!

I recently found myself needing to move a grand piano on short notice. Although the movers I'd hired to unload my truck were great at moving everything else, they were concerned when it came time to unload my grand piano. The weather was unbelievably bad at that point with wind and heavy rain and they suggested I contact Hewes Family Movers in Griffin. Bill Hewes, on extremely short notice, worked wonders to fit this move into his schedule. He and his team of four movers arrived at the time they'd promised (the very next morning) and proceeded to carefully and masterfully unload, move and set up a (nearly 100 year old) grand piano - all with the highest level of patience, precision and capability you could hope for. I was wholly impressed with not only how well they moved the piano but also how well they worked together and how respectfully Bill spoke to and directed his employees - to me, that really says a lot about a person. Bill Hewes and his team were unfailingly courteous and exceedingly professional. They did an absolutely awesome job on very short notice and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

This is the second time I used Hewes this year. Again, they were fantastic! The movers, Daniel and Isaiah, were very careful with all my possessions. Half of the furniture went to a storage facility. They wrapped all items and pack the unit. The other half went to my home. All went smoothly.

Movers were very slow and inexperienced, took forever and were not cheap. Used experienced movers in the past these guy were armatures with no experience.

Very well. It was great having a moving company that also had cleaning and carpet service which helped save time and was easy to schedule.

Timing was imperative for this job. We were having floors refinished. They did an amazing job. Everything went perfectly. They were reasonably priced and extremely professional.

The bad: The guys were not careful with our belongings, their trailer was filthy and they tracked oil all over the wood floors and carpets, which are now stained with little drops of oil spots. They didn’t put furniture pads around the base of the motorized bed so the strap left blemishes on the frame. 3 dining room chairs will have to be fixed for minor damages and there are small scratches on several other items (tv base, washer and dryer, dining room table. The price was exorbitant for the quality of care we received. I wouldn’t have minded paying that price, if I felt like the quality was commensurate with the service. After close to a 2 hour lunch break, I had to call the guys to make sure they weren’t lost. They explained they were stuck in traffic after lunch, but a courtesy call to me would have been appreciated, rather than my having to chase them down. The good: The booking staff and estimator were helpful and responsive. The move was tough due to limited elevator availability and a steep incline exiting the parking garage, the guys didn’t complain about that and pushed through and they were friendly.

They were fantastic! When I researched movers iin the area, Hewes was the only one who came to my place to see what I had, so that they didn't overcharge me the way others could. The movers themselves were friendly, considerate, and very efficient. Excellent job, and I would use them again

The Hewes crew arrived about 30 minutes later than originally scheduled, but they had called and informed me of the delay enough ahead of time that I could easily adjust my own arrival. The crew of four (Dakota, Daniel, Ian, and Jesse) were pleasant and unbelievably diligent. They had the ranch house emptied and trailer loaded within less than 2 hours, appliances and all. After a short drive to the new home, they laid out floor coverings (it was a rainy moving day) and moved very quickly to unload and set everything up. The new laundry closet is small and they had to do some extra jiggering with the dryer vent to get it hooked up, but they persisted until everything was in its proper place. They were very careful and cheerful throughout the move, even after they arrived at the new home and spied a rather steep uphill drive. They had to park at the bottom and carry everything up, but their energy didn't flag and they were a pleasure to be around.

From our initial contact and estimate to the two days it took to move, the employees were professional, polite and helpful. The entire crew went through every room in our house first and listened to our concerns and wishes. They worked quickly yet took great care with our antiques and other possessions. We had packed the boxes prior to their arrival and they moved those also. In our new house, they made sure they placed everything in the designated rooms and offered to move anything within the rooms to be sure the furniture was in place. We cannot say enough how pleased we were with the entire process and the price! We enjoyed the experience of working with a small family company.

Excellent! The moving crew was extremely efficient, actually never taking a break except for 1/2 he for lunch, working nine hours! The crew was polite, affable, hard working, overall excellent +++++++.

Hewes Family Movers are excellent from their office staff to the young guys that do the move. Our closing was changed 3 times and they worked with us until we finally were able to close. The 6 young men that show up in the house were great, very nice, respectful and always willing to help. They will pick up whatever was packed or unpacked without hesitation. I will recommend them 1000% and will definitely hire them again

Initially they didn't for show up for my scheduled move. I called them and they apologized and ended up moving me on that very next Sunday. They did an excellent job and were very apologetic for the miscommunication. I was very satisfied with the move itself.

They were very flexible with allowing us to pack as much or as little as we wanted and leaving the rest for them. The quote was reasonable and professionally prepared. They communicated well in setting time and date targets for packing and moving. The crew they sent was excellent, professional, well-mannered, and they all got along well with each other and with us. They took care to make sure the appliances we moved were installed and operational in the new house before they left, and one of the owners even made the drive to finish the installation of the pool table we moved ie putting it back together and leveling it etc. Overall...an outstanding experience for something that we were dreading.

This was a local move but also the best move ever for us. It all went extremely well. We packed and moved most of the clothing, kitchen, and household miscellaneous "stuff" but left some self-packed boxes and most of the heavy stuff for Hewes. Four young men showed up on time and just went to work. There was virtually no hesitation or damage. We reduced the size of the move after the estimate and were very happy to see it all happen in one day with a corresponding reduction in the final cost. These fellows earned their pay and good tips.

Great! They came and did an estimate which they emailed to me. On moving day the actual cost came to be much lower than the estimate. The 2 men who came were on time and worked hard from start to finish. Would definitely hire again!
