Atlanta Building Company

For all the stories we heard about remods, this actually was shorter and better than we could have imagined. It lasted about 2.5 months, but some of that was awaiting county permits. After interviewing four different companies, we decided on John Southwell of Atlanta Building Company. They were able to provide the most complete plan that was able to incorporate the ideas that we were thinking. We had a rough idea of what we wanted, but John was able to take that germ of an idea and expand it to what we never thought of but worked best. We wanted to remodel the builder grade kitchen to something at least two people to occupy at the same time, have cabinets that made sense and were easier to get stuff out of. We also needed a storage/pantry solution that would save space yet still allow us to open up the kitchen. Their solution of extending the ceiling, taking out one wall and rotating the kitchen was fantastic. No only did we increase cabinet space and now have an island that works into the family room, but we also have half again as much room upstairs in the office above the kitchen. 
The work and attention to detail were excellent. John and his foreman, Nate, and crew were clean, thorough, and kept us abreast of all decision points during the demo, design and installation. Costs were within the quoted amounts yet allowed us to make decision for any change orders.
