+ -1 moreVERY disappointed! In addition to what I described above, he left some tools on her roof and things around her house. I texted the day before the hurricane came through and asked if he would go by her home and get his things and secure what was on the ground. He would not return my texts. So we put everything in the back yard garage and locked it up so that it wouldn't get blown all over the place during the hurricane. He never texted me to see if he could come by and get them. Instead, he showed up at my mother's home while she was alone and brought 3 police squads with him (for his protection, he says. Like my mother could really hurt him?) It got her so upset with them all being there, that an ambulance had to be called to check her out. As of today, he still refuses to return the money.
Description of Work: My 84 year old mother hired him to replace the shingles of her home and 2 buildings in the back yard. He told her that the shingles would be $3,000 and to write him a check for that amount and he would order them the next morning. During the 8 weeks we have dealt with him, he has come over twice and hardly did any work and never purchased the shingles. After 6 weeks or him giving excuses as to why he couldn't work on her house, (although we have proof that he worked at least 2 other jobs after he cashed her check and was supposed to be working on her house), we asked for the money back. He agreed 2 times to meet us with it, but cancelled both times and will not give the money back to her. We also asked to see his business license and work permit for the wood repairs included in the contract. He would not show us either, and we later found out there is no business license on file for him
