This is the 7th time we've had Old School Remodeling perform home remodeling projects for us. Always excellent work and very professional

on time and as described.

The french doors he installed for us, are still holding up well, and the work was great.

I called him on the phone and scheduled a visit for an estimate.  Gary came on schedule and quoted me a price and a start date.  He arrived on schedule and completed on schedule.  Quality of workmanship and cleanup were excellent.  I would have Gary do any carpentry work in the future.

Once he finally showed up, he did an ok job putting the screens in.  A few need some rework because they were over-screwed causing the wood to crack.  Another needs to be recaulked.  I was hoping this could be addressed when he returned later in the week to hang the screen doors and do some other work he committed to do at my house.  However, he never returned.  He also never responded to any of the text messages I sent to his cell phone.  I will never use him again...too unreliable.

The owner of Old School Remodeling, Gary Hickman, provided excellent services at a very fair price. We asked Gary to install beadboard on all the walls in our master bath (from floor to ceiling), but instead of just quoting the job to do what we wanted, Gary provided an excellent recommendation for the installation. His recommendation was a whole lot better than what we wanted plus it saved us money. He could've went with what we requested and he would've made more money, but he looked out for our best interest. The bathroom looks excellent. Gary's work is superb. He started work on time and finished on time. We plan on having Gary's company to come back to do some more work on our other rooms. I highly recommend OLD SCHOOL REMODELING for remodeling work & general carpentry.

Not much to add to the above -- just that Gary used his expertise in the field to help me solve an issue by showing me how to make best use of the resources I had, and kind of went above and beyond, in my opinion.

The contractor was on time as scheduled.  Everything was completed as itemized in the contract.  Even a few extras included at no  cost.  He and his crew cleaned up their construction waste every day and took it with them.  You would never know anyone had been here except for a couple of ladders they would leave in an unseen place each evening.  The quality of the work was outstanding and I am very pleased with the end product.  I highly recommend this contractor.  It took approximately 2 1/2 weeks to complete.

In addition to the comments above, I can also say that Gary clearly showed he had lots of experience in all manner of construction, not just in finish carpentry.  I was impressed with his depth of knowledge (down to some very small points of precision work) and the economy of activity.  He wasted no time, and had all the right tools and the right knowledge.  I would definitely use this firm again for all manner of carpentry.  Also, the completion price included materials (except the doors) and labor, so any prospective client should bear that in mind.

In short - I could not have done it without these guys. They are the most honest, trustworthy, dependable and skilled workers I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I brought them in on recommendation to build a large deck - I kept them for 6 months to be my primary contractors on the rest of my complete house renovation. They take immense pride in their work and I built a complete trust in them to provide me with critical guidance through every step of the renovation. My recommendation--do NOT hire a general contractor - hire these guys, they do their own work (don't sub out) and can call in other trusted teams as necessary. My house is absolutely gorgeous and will last a lifetime - thanks to these guys. My highest recommendation.
