Eddie Douglas and his experienced crew of professional craftsman closed off 4 pet doors, repaired water damage in one wall (that included replacement of the wall exterior sheathing, and, removal and resetting of one window), removal and replacement of faulty flashing under an existing deck (that included removal and replacement of decking boards), repair of damaged vinyl siding, and finally, the cleaning of debris from gutter guards, washing the entire homes vinyl siding and pressure washing the driveway. To close the pet doors the exterior holes in the walls were framed, reinforced and closed with plywood underlayment, and, the interior holes in the walls were closed and finished with sheetrock so expertly as to be nearly invisible, and paint ready. On the exterior, vinyl siding was cleverly removed from an inconspicuous area at the rear of the home and used to cover the areas of the former pet doors, thereby completely eliminating any variation in color, when compared to the new vinyl siding. The same was accomplished to make two other repairs to siding. New vinyl siding was installed at the rear of the home and is nearly impossible to detect, due to the location selected. A very creative solution ! The water-damaged wall, window, faulty flashing and decking were expertly repaired to ensure a water-tight condition and prevention against future water intrusion. The cleaning of the gutters, exterior vinyl siding and pressure washing of the driveway were completed with the final visual appearance beyond expectations. All of the repairs are nearly impossible to detect, the house looks great and my driveway looks brand new. Without reservation, I highly recommend Douglas Residential Renovations to anyone who is looking for an honest contractor who genuinely cares about providing a high level of quality workmanship at a competitive price.
