$275
Received a referral from a store in Columbus, GA, called Southern Wicker.  They gave me the name & phone number for Diane Hoyle in Hamilton (I had been unsuccessful in searching for anyone else who would do caning repair).  I called Diane, sent her via email 4 smartphone camera photos of a typical bar stool with close-ups of the cane bottom and the dimensions (13" X 15").  She immediately quoted a price on the phone ($275), and we then met in the "square" in Hamilton for me to give her the 4 stool bottoms (that I had unscrewed from each of the stools).  She estimated 10 days to do the work & then did it in 8.

Perfect job!
