They provided three men and a truck for a day. packing materials, packing, loading, transport 58 miles, unload, place furniture at new location. The men were professioanal, well mannered, hard working, energetic, efficient and focused. They arrived 90 minutes late, but that was a non issue because they completed the job on schedule and everybody was happy at end of the day. They made no mistakes, did not break anything and my mom was very satisfied and told the guys they did a great job. My mom told me that I made the right choice by hiring Affordable Movers of Middle Georgia, LLC located in Warner Robins, GA. and I'm sure she will recommend them. I would like to thank these men for taking good care of my parents.

The service providers were very efficient and professional.  While they were a little late, they were sure to call and stay informed with me.  There were three who showed up.  They made sure that they knew what time frame we were working with and what services I wanted performed. I absolutely loved their work.  If I move again, I will use them.

I had the move scheduled for 9:00 am and the movers showed up around 9:25am. One of the movers did apologize for being late and explained there was a house fire on his way to work and the road was blocked for a short time and caused them to run a little late. When the guys arrived at my house, they introduced themselves and then assessed the items to be moved. I couldn't have asked for harder working guys to get my items moved. They loaded bedroom furniture, dinning room, living room furniture, tv's , and washer/dryer. The movers were very careful with my items not to damage them or any paint on the walls hole moving. The move was about 13 miles. The guys loaded my furniture, covered it all with protective blankets, drove to the new home, unloaded the furniture, and were on their way in just over two hours. It was extremely hot during the move and the guys only took a very short break to get some fluids. I would highly recommend this moving company. Great job!!!! thanks!!!!

We contacted Gary at Affordable Movers of Middle Georgia during our search to move furnishings and household goods stored in Milledgeville, GA after our daughter graduated from the university 3 years ago.  The move was to be from Milledgeville, GA to Buford, GA  We contacted several other companies in the metro-Atlanta area, but they were either very expensive or said they didn't go there.
Gary gave us a quoted price based on a description of goods in storage. We didn't have an exact inventory, but were able to provide him with some of the more important details for him to come up with a price.  The quote for the move was much better than a few that we did receive from other metro-Atlanta companies that we contacted.  Gary set up the schedule and did some of the coordinating in spite of being on vacation.
We scheduled a move date during the week as it seemed that was more available for our schedule.  Weekends are a premium with anybody - in time and pricing.  We agreed to a set time to meet at the storage facility in Milledgeville and go from there.
On move day the weather was terrible - heavy rain and wind were not what we had in mind.  We thought of rescheduling, but the weather seemed to be moving through, so we kept our schedule.
Upon arriving at the storage facility, we contacted Gary by phone to see if his crew was on schedule.  Due to weather and unfamiliarity with Milledgeville, his crew of Michael and Stephen arrived a little closer to 12:30 - which, under the circumstances, was more than acceptable.
Once we had the truck positioned and the storage unit opened, these two fellows went right to work.  In spite of the soaking rain, they managed to get our belongings loaded securely on the truck, being careful to keep things dry.  Everything was packed well and the load was secured with appropriate padding and tie-downs in the truck.
The drive from Milledgeville, GA to Buford, GA isn't exactly the most direct or easy to get to drive.  Steven drove the truck with professionalism and safety.  The drive (95 miles) took us about 2 hours with weather and traffic conditions.
When we arrived at the new home, Stephen and Michael were very respectful of the wet conditions and laid pads on the floors and newly cleaned carpet so as not to track them up with wet feet.  They unloaded our goods and helped set up the bed and other furnishings.  They were very careful with placing things and did not bang anything into the walls or doorways.  A couple of pieces were snug fits through some of the bedroom doors but they were able to work to get things delivered where requested without any damages or problems.
Upon completion of their  work Stephen confirmed our quoted price of $750 and was paid.  We thanked both Stephen and Michael for their professional, courteous and friendly services.  We told them that we'd post a review for them on Angie's List so others in need of truly affordable, PROFESSIONAL, and COURTEOUS moving services would contact the fine folks at Affordable Movers of Middle Georgia when their time came to move.

The movers arrived 15 min. late.  I knew immediately upon seeing the interior of the truck that these movers did not have the best housekeeping practices.  Their truck contained a pile of furniture pads that were not folded.  Upon opening the truck bay door, one mover threw the pile of unfolded mats on the concrete driveway.   I also noticed that the movers did not wear braces to protect their backs (this is a poor reflection of the company's training program).    The day of the move it was raining.  The movers proceeded to take furniture out of the house.   They would lay the furniture on the edge of the truck exposed to the rain while they pondered how to stack it in the truck.  I told them that this furniture is expensive and that it can't get wet.   I observed that they did not take care when passing through the door way and on several occasions nicked the furniture with the doorway casings.  The movers did not come with proper tools to dissasemble furniture or to remove doors from their hinges to allow more clearance for appliances.  I had to lend them my tools.  They did not have a furniture dolly to move ackward and difficult to carry furniture pieces.  After seeing their struggle, I offered them a furniture dolly that I had available.  They even asked me for adhesive tape to secure furniture pads to the furniture that had glass cabinets.  The movers were disorganized and did not have a plan on how to load the truck.  At times, I would observe all three in the truck discussing how to stack the furniture.  To their credit, the movers were curtious, respectful and took advice and coaching well, however, they lacked training and basic do's and don't on the job.  For example, I saw them taking smoke breaks while others were still working.  They would take phone calls or check emails, text messages.    This is natural since they are being paid by the hour.  This move consisted of a 2400 sq ft. home with the corresponding furniture.  They knew this job would take a full day (6-8 hours) yet they failed to bring lunch or drinks.  Around 2 PM, when I saw that they did not take a break for lunch, I went and bought them Subway sandwiches.  When unloading a $200 self assembly storage cabinet, they dropped it on the floor and the cabinet came apart and was a total loss.  The lead mover called his supervisor , spoke with me and then we came to an agreement on settling up the damage.  I made it simple for them and only asked for one hour of time ($100)  to be substracted from the total. I noticed an attitude change on part of the movers, I inferred that the supervisor told them that the damage would come out of their paychecks.  I also noticed that the pace of work slowed down (at this point they had been four hours on the task).   At the end of the move, I asked for a receipt and the lead mover told me that he did not have a reciept book with him.  He requested my email address and told me that his boss would email the receipt.  The movers left behind two items of trash, a foam cushion, which they asked me if it was alright ot place in my trash receptable (I agreeded) and an old desk chair that was in their truck (which I did not know they left behind). On a positive note, they managed to stack enough furniture in a 10 x 15 storage area that saved me from securing additional storage space.  My problem now is how do I retrieve some of this furniture that is 10- 12 feet above the ground. In summary,  my expectations for a problem free move were not met.  I would not use this company again.
