Took a while because plumber had a hard time getting off old connection and then had to redo his work when it still leaked. Also took two days to get him there because they don' t tell you until last minute when the plumber is coming.

I called early in the morning and told them I had a leak and also a stopped up pipe.  They sent out 2 different plumbers instead of one that could handle both jobs.  The first plumber took 10 minutes to fix the leak.  I already had the pipe cut loose.  He charged me for an hour labor at $90.00 an hour.  This is charged instead of a service call, which I was assured I would not have 2 of because they sent out 2 different plumbers, so that they can stick it to you by sending out 2 different plumbers.  I received 2 bills totaling $343.95 for maybe 30 minutes worth of work combined for the 2 plumbers.  In those 2 bills I was charged 3 $90.00 worth of labor.  If they had sent out one plumber that could have handled both problems I would have only been charged one $90.00 labor cost (or should I say service charge).  Battlefield Plumbing has found a way to rip off the public by sending out 2 people at 2 different times and calling it Labor instead of a SERVICE CALL.  If you are smart don't use them.

Once managed to get plumbers to actually come out all went very well, the two plumbers were courteous and worked hard to repair & replace  the leaking pipes.  I had called the evening before and asked for a plumber and were told all were busy and they would call me the next morning.  No one called, so I called Battlefield Plumbing the next morning and were told by the gentleman who answered the phone that there was no way they could come out that day, all were busy.  When I asked to speak with the lady in the office whom I had talked with the day before was told she was not available.  As a result, I called another plumber in the city of Dalton, Ga (about 15 miles away) and made arrangements with him to come that afternoon.  Later, out of the blue, a plumber for Battlefield Plumbing called to say they were on their way.  As a result, I cancelled the call with the other company in Dalton, Ga.
The two men from Battlefield Plumbing arrived and made up for the previous frustrating contact with their company.  They immediately went to work to replace the leaking water pipes  and restore my home with water.  They also installed water cut offs on the hot and cold water pipes going into the water heater.

Quiet, clean, professional and efficient.

All of which is trumped by their failure to show up or communicate that there was a problem on the scheduled day a week earlier.

Specifics:
Called Monday or Tuesday (don't remember which) for appt on Weds, 7/10.  Gave details of service to be performed.  Receptionist/dispatcher committed to having plumber(s?) sent out the following day but could not pin down time beyond sometime during the workday.

I designed my day around being available for entire day.  Including paying (overtime) an employee to sit and protect my otherwise closed business during a construction project.  Time I could have used in managerial duties at my business if I could have been there in her stead.  Left employee's commitment open ended - I would take her place once I was available to relieve her.

Weds (7/10): no show by noon.
Weds (7/10): no show by 3pm.
Weds (7/10): no show by 4:30pm.

Called Battlefield Plumbing at 4:30pm,
"When can I expect someone?"
"Oh yeah, there was something...well one of them had to go to the hospital this morning.  They can come tomorrow."
"No.  Tomorrow won't do.  I am only available on Weds, and even that is very difficult.  I have incurred considerable hassle and expense to be available all day today."

***No apology offered***

Still, have been pleased with previous level of service, so.... scheduled for the following Weds (today, 7/17).

Called employee staffing our otherwise closed business - too late for me to take her place now - besides, she's made last minute childcare arrangements.  Total cost for me:  $350.

Tues (7/16):  Called Battlefield Plumbing - confirmed appt for the following day.

Weds (7/17):  Showed up and performed service in professional and timely manner.

No recompense offered.

Not even an apology.

Dammit.  WHY OH WHY COULDN'T SOMEONE HAVE SPARED THE MINUTE it would have taken to call early last Weds once they knew they couldn't make the scheduled appointment.  I understand emergencies.  I would have been very understanding and would have hoped that whoever had to go to the hospital was okay.  It would have freed me up to make my day more productive, would have spared me paying an employee hundreds of dollars of overtime, and would have freed up my employee to get on with her day.

The leaking pipe, which damaged one ceiling tile, was finally fixed by removal of the shark bite coupling and soldering in two copper couplings.  Not covered by warranty.
I have used this company for the past 23 years.  Their work was always without problems up until they began using the Shark Bite Couplings to repair water leaks in copper water supply lines.  I will not in the future permit the use of these Shark Bite Couplings in my home to repair copper water pipes.  If the responding technician insist on using the Shark Bite Couplings he will be asked to leave and I will find another plumber.

A very frustrating experience, which required three trips to complete the job which should have been a very simple plumbing repair job.  Work was performed at my daughter's home which I paid for.  I have used this company for the past 23 years and up until this job they had done excellent work without problems.  I would use this company again provided they not use the sharks connectors to repair water supply lines.

I was very pleased with the work done.  He arrived on time and worked the whole time he was here. He was very friendly but professional.  He even offered to fix my door latch! I would definitely use them again.  The price was a little high, but the quality of work was great!

All went well.  The office called to coordinate time for workers to arrive at house.  Work was done in a professional manner and clean up accomplished before workers left jobsite.  I have used Battlefield Plumbing for over 20 years and have been satisfied with their service.  They have my recommendation.

My water heater started leaking late Thursday 05/13/11, fortunately I had a drip pan under it and was able to turn the hot water off so there was minimal water leakage.
I called Battlefield around 7:00 am Friday (she answered even though her time doesn't start until 8:00).  I explained the problem and she began making arrangment to get someone out to my house.  I finished getting ready for work as well as I could without hot water.  I reached work at 8:30, just in time for her to call and say she  had someone on the way.  I made arrangements at work & headed home.
When the technician arrived, it was apparent I needed a new water heater.  He gathered prices for a replacement and for a tankless gas water heater.  He also explained the additions I would need to bring the water heater up to code (I have an older home).  I decdied on a tankless water heater.
The technician picked up water heater and installed it and cleaned up afterwards.  It took about 6 hours, but there was alot involved.  He had to cut vents in the side of the house and reconfigure some ot the pipes.
Overall, I am well pleased with the work they did, and highly recomend them.

They are very responsive and are reasonably priced. They also clean up after themselves. The quality of their work is good and I have been satisfied with their service.
