I contacted A Cut Above the first time through their website contact form. I was looking for routine yard service, repairs to a sprinkler system, and some landscape design and installation work. I waited a week for a response and heard nothing, so I assumed perhaps something was broken with their website and I called on the phone. I spoke to a lady about what I needed done and wanting an estimate on the work I wanted, as well as for the continued yard and flower bed maintenance. She told me she would have the man in charge of that area call me back "in just a bit". I waited 3 days and never was called back. I called a second time (my third attempt to contact them...) and they apologized and assured me that I would be called back. I never heard a thing from them and it's been well over a month.
I have found a new company to do the work I needed.

Their designer is a certified horticulturist with a college degree. He did a great job of determining my desires, coordinating with me, creating a visual representation of the design, and providing an estimate. The installation crew spent about 1.5 days removing old trees and plants, preparing the soil, planting new items, laying pine straw, and cleaning up the area. They did a great job ... everything looks great and is healthy and growing six weeks later. Very pleased with their work and will use them again when the need arises.
Update March 2016: Several bushes and other plants have died over the past year, and several others looked pretty sick. I just had another professional re-landscape the front of my house and the back yard. He told me that most of the bushes had not been planted properly -- the holes weren't wide enough or deep enough for them to develop healthy root systems -- it appeared the plants had just been stuck in the ground. This is a large company, so perhaps they use some inexperienced labor for smaller jobs or are just so busy they rush through projects. Needless to say, I won't use them again.
