Started job on schedule and said should be done in a week, but kept making excuses why couldn't finish any one thing each day. Kept suggesting they'd do various things, but never stated any costs and always said don't worry about it. Wanted 1/3 up front money...never gave me an itemized list of costs only a list of proposed items we talked about doing. Used my materials, left the house in a mess when he did do the work somehow managed to give me a sob story of how he needed me to give him more money even before the work was completed. In the beginning he returned calls and always had a reason why he wasn't working on finishing the project. I paid for most of materials and never received receipt for any materials he charged me for. He always wanted cash and I now realize the man was a scam. He did do some of the work, but his nephew was sloppy and messed up the paint on my interior doors, used my towels as rags, & job is still not completed.
